Once Polly had bandaged her leg up, she finally opens the door to the snug, so the others could see her.

Alex barely has a chance to process the fact the doors are open before she feels a body collide with hers, arms wrapping around her. She glances down to see Melanie with tears in her eyes, and so she gently places an arm around her shoulders.

"We were so worried about you," Melanie sighs, burying her head against Alex's shoulder.

"I'm fine, Mel," Alex assures, calmly rubbing her back.

"Yeah.. yeah, you are," Melanie smiles, wiping her tears with her sleeve, untangling herself from Alex's frame.

"Finn, be careful-"

Polly is cut off, by Alex groaning as her youngest brother runs towards her, flinging himself into her arms.

"You're tangible!" Finn exclaims.

"What?" Arthur chuckles.

"Means she's real, and I can touch her," Finn says, making his point by booping Alex on the nose.

"Why wouldn't she be tangible? And where did you learn that word?" Polly asks.

"Well, she got arrested, so she wouldn't be here, Bentley was sad so he bakes, and Mel invited me over to eat cookies, she was reading the newspaper, and tangible is the word of the day," Finn explains, "oh and Lewis was there, I don't know why."

"He has attachment issues," Bentley states.

"That isn't- okay, maybe it is true, but there's no need to bring it up," Lewis replies.

"My bad," Bentley says, clapping a hand on Lewis' shoulder.

"Finn, I've just been shot, is it alright if I put you down?" Alex asks, her brother who nods, offering her an apology.

Alex grabs the bottle of whiskey from the table, bringing it to her lips, relishing the satisfying burn that hits the back of her throat.

"First thing you do is drink?" Polly says, taking the bottle from her, and Alex shrugs, "it's taking away my pain."

"You told me you weren't in pain," Polly responds.

"I lied."

"Perhaps, but you're also not getting this back," Polly states firmly.

Danny was now resting in the snug, everyone had been in to pay their respects. Toasting to his life.

"Hey," Alex says, sitting on the stool at the end of the bar where Amari was stood.

"Pollys already told me not to serve you," Amari tells her.

"Anyway I can change your mind?" Alex says, unable to stop herself from allowing her eyes to roam over Amari's figure. She was in a new dress. It stopped just below her knees, and hugged her chest in a way Alex most certainly appreciated.

"Nope," Amari smiles, leaning against the bar, "I honestly didn't think I'd see you here for a while."

"You can't get rid of me that easily, Mar," Alex responds.

Amari's eyes flicker to hers. Mar. Alex had never called her that before. No one had ever called her that before. She liked it. Although the butterflies in her stomach due to the nickname did make her slightly nervous.

They were friends. That's all. If Alex were interested in her, she would have done something about it already. It's well known Alexandria is quick when it comes to getting what she wants.
