I woke up today with a headache the size of the world, I don't even know how I got out of bed, and now I have to deal with a Rachel screaming with excitement that we're going out at night... I really want to say I'm not going but I have no courage!

Zach arrived at our house 2 hours ago and I feel that even he is tired of so many different outfits that have crossed his eyes.

"Ray, baby, don't you think we could take a break for lunch or something? We have a lot of time before we leave the house and I think we have time to choose clothes later", says Zach, trying to calm my best friend's hysteria in the most loving way possible.

"Oh but love, I need time to decide... I want to look good and hot!" she replied.

"Okay Zach, I vote the two of us go make lunch and leave her here to drown in her clothes". I said, giving up on trying to convince her of anything.

I and Zach left her room and went to the kitchen.

"So big boy, what do you feel like eating?" I asked.

"I don't know... what do you think about making that tomato and mozzarella pasta that Rachel likes?"

"Ahahah even when she is being unbearable, you do everything to please her! But let's make that... maybe she will be more relaxed!"

"Don't be like that Mimi... she's happy for you to come with us!" Mimi is one of Rachel's nicknames for me, and Zach adopted it 2 weeks after we met and that's what he's always called me ever since.

"I know, I know, and you know that I appreciate you taking me and treating me like the third member of your relationship ahah". I said as I started to put the water to heat to cook the pasta.

"Mimi, we both know that if there was a third member, it would be me and not you!"

"Touché! You are absolutely right."

While Zach updated me on his life and on the new black-and-white project he has to do for a class, we make lunch. I truly like talking to him, he's such a simple person and he says everything he thinks in the most attentive, sweet, and affectionate way I've ever seen, I'm really happy that my best friend found someone like him.

"BABY, LUNCH IS READY!" Zach yelled at Rachel when we finished cooking.

"WAIT! I AM NOW IN A MOMENT OF MAXIMUM INSPIRATION!" she yelled back.

I rolled my eyes and replied, "BITCH WE'RE GOING TO EAT, IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE LOOKING LIKE A TEENAGE GIRL GOING TO HAVE HER FIRST DATE, FEEL FREE!"

5 seconds later she appears at the table with a killer look but ready to eat.

"You are terrible! Don't even think I'm bothered by what you said!" She told me, trying to be bitchy.

"Oh baby, I know perfectly well how you are!"

"Come on girls, let's please have lunch in peace, shall we?" interrupted Zach.

We scowled at Zach and continued to eat in silence until a minute later we had enough and started talking about tonight's events.

"Girls, I think one of your cell phones is ringing." Said Zach a while later.

I concentrate to try to listen and realize it's mine. "It's mine! I bet it's my mother... I forgot to call her yesterday!", I said, already waiting to hear a lecture about how worried she is.

I get up and go to answer the phone when I notice that it is an unknown number and not my mother.

"Hello." I said when I answered.
