I laid in bed, occasionally yelling about this or that. I cried once over not being allowed to eat, though I had already knew that. It wasn't a surprise. Diane and Judd popped out of the elevator shortly after. He stood next to the bed, stuttering a bit as he tried to think of something to say.

It took over thirteen hours for our little girl to come into the world. I was exhausted by the time it was over but I was so excited to meet her, sleep had to wait. The doctor turned with a smile and held her out. I gently took my daughter, holding her close to my bare chest. I stared down at her, my eyes welling with tears. I sat like that for what felt like hours before a nurse spoke up.

"Would you like me to allow the family in?" I nodded without taking my eyes away from my baby. Judd was sitting at the end of my bed, just letting me have my time with her. I looked up when I heard Elliott's sniffling and Diane's soft comforting words. It was only the two of them and Nick. I furrowed my brows. "Where's Leah?" "No clue." Nick shrugged.

"Have you decided on a name?" Diane asked, gently putting a hand on my back. I glanced at Judd who put his hands up. We'd talked about it before, he'd told me he didn't care as long as it wasn't one of those wild names - like Glitter or Persephone. I liked and respected the Gods and Goddess as much as the next person but I thought that was a little weird too.

I sat quietly for a moment then smiled. "Lillie. Lillie Raine." I was sure there would be people who thought her name was strange but I liked it and I liked the way it sounded. Nick bit his lip then took a step. "Could I hold her?" I looked around at Nick and his friends, smiling softly. "You three," I began, pointing at the small group of middle school boys. "Go wash your hands. She's very delicate right now." I couldn't help but smile as their faces lit up, Andrew's was more anxiety though.
