Something I Could Have

The meeting carried on to talking about matters that had recently happened or that may be needed until noon. I usually tune out when it is needed. It was until the start of the night that Queen Surya cleared her throat, turning all attention to her.

"It has come to my attention that the animosity between the nobles and peasants have risen to an amount that is worrisome."

Great job captain obvious.

"So me and my husband have been thinking of solutions and we've decided to build a school. Well the school is nearly finished but still."

"Your majesty, why should we care though. In the most respectful way possible I'm asking why you would tell us?" I lifted my brow finishing off my drink.

"It's because since it's almost finished we thought it would be time to tell you all. But really I was only speaking to Princess Scarlett."

My mouth formed an O shape as my interest was piqued. "Since anyone can enroll we would like for someone like you to sponsor our school." All eyes are on me now– wondering what my reaction would be. I rested my hands on my lap while my legs were crossed.

"Someone like me. As in what?"

"I've learned that the nobles and peasants find you interesting and some even look up to you. So I think it would be in my school's greatest interest to have you included in this project."

"I see." I bit my lip in thought. "What would I be getting out of this? I personally don't do charity." I chuckled.

"Of course you will be getting a salary since you will not be only sponsoring the school. You will also be expected to make sure the school is running smoothly and teachers that would corrupt the image are to be reported up to me. Also to watch the children to see if they're getting along."

"So to put it simply, you want me to be in charge of the school?" I huffed at the audacity of it. I look her dead in the eyes, trying to gauge what she really wants but I see nothing. Which pisses me off more. "Ok sure, But i also want access to more trade routes– do know I expect you not to meddle in the way I deal with things even if I bring it to your attention."

Surya nods her head. "I'll agree to those terms. But of course if anyone else wishes to sponsor the cause then you are free to do so. My right hand will be staying behind for anyone wishing to be included in the sponsors." She sighs and stands up, "with that I conclude this meeting is over." She walks out of the meeting room leaving everyone behind.

"Princess Scarlett," I looked up to see King Kane staring at me. "I wish for a way to be in contact with you." I smirk at him. With a gentle movement of my fingers, the rush and feeling of my powers flowing out of my fingers a mark of a language appears on the back of his hand.

"You will be able to contact me with that." I smile as I stare at him. He lifts his brow in question. I respond with an even brighter smile. He turns and leaves while I stare after him.

"Are you planning to have sex with him?" I turn to the sea queen next to me with a cheeky smile.

"Absolutely." We both laugh.

"Want to know what I have heard" My face lights up with curiosity, "I heard not only was he a beast in fighting but as well as the person he takes in his bed every night since he has a very intense libido."

"That's very nice to hear." I turn back around when I notice my empty cup. "Lin, could you refill my cup?" I feel a set of eyes on me.

I turn to the King of air, or wind or bird shit– whatever you want to call him, "Do you need something?"
