“Ang lakas na ng ulan. What are you doing here?”
I asked her. Both of us are soaking wet due of heavy rain. Kung titingnan kaming dalawa sa itsura namin mukha kaming tangang lovers na gumagawa ng isang break up scene sa isang romantic movie. Anu ba etong pinag iisip ko. Mika Reyes kasi eh.
“Naghihintay ng kidlat.”
She answered beaming. Niloloko ba ko nito? Ang weird mo Reyes ha.
At naputol ung sasabihin ko sakanya ng biglang kumidlat at kumulog. Sa takot ko napatakbo ako sakanya at yumakap. Bahala na kung anu isipin nya eh sa natatakot ako.
I felt she's shivering due of cold but still she's grinning like an idiot, looking up at the sky. Hindi sya natatakot sa kidlat kulog. Grabe ang babaeng eto.
“I think we should go inside your car or my car. It's too dangerous to be outside in this open space place.”
I said shivering. She just bit her lower lip and shaking her head. Ang tigas ng ulo nya. Kakaiba. Pero sh!t lang Reyes ang ganda ganda mo pala talaga.
“Are you sick? Nagpapakamatay ka ba?”
I asked her. She just looked at me straight in the eye. Anu na eto habit nya wag magsalita. Napipikon na ko sakanya. I asked her again. Then this time she finally answers me.
“Let me go please. Bitaw na please.”
She said to me. I frowns then before I could react she passed out.
Buti na lang yakap ko pa din sya kaya nasalo ko sya agad. Sa taranta ko agad ko sya sinakay sa car ko at naghanap ng pinaka malapit na hospital. Luckily my car has a GPS sensor kaya nakanap ako agad ng pinaka malapit na hospital. While she's in that state, as if sleeping, I couldn't stop from throwing glances at her. She's looks like an innocent child, more on a baby and an angel.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the staff immediately checked her. Habang asa emergency room sya, ako nagpapanic na at nanginginig pa. I decided to call my mom to inform her what happened to me. Especially hindi ko alam kung sino tatawagan na relatives ni Mika.
Buti na lang si Mommy dating volleyball players kaya may mga connections pa din sya. Sya na ung gumawa ng paraan para mareach out ung relatives ni Mika or mga friends. My mom just told me to stay with her and wait until they arrive at the hospital.
Honestly I didn't expect that the girl right infront of me now is a familiar face. A very familiar face indeed. She's a house hold name because of my sister, Dani, who happened to be a big fan of her. Then my mom's fave volleybelle.
At sino ba naman ang hindi makakalimot sa babaeng eto na naiisue sakin. Na may crush at nililigawan ko daw eto. Eh hindi ko nga alam number nito.
Pero infairness maganda pala talaga sya sa malapitan. It's not the first time I've seen her but this is the first time literally this close. She has this angelic face. A combination of cute and gorgeous one. Bihirang babae ung may ganitong beauty. No wonder she's The Darling of the Crowd. Unfortunately, she quits volleyball for a personal reason. At kung anu man un wala ako pakialam dun. Hindi kami close at wala din ako interes na malaman pa.
Probably two hours after I've spoken to my Mom, she arrived at the hospital together with my Dad and our driver. Natawagan na daw nila ung parents ni Mika at padating na din. The doctor also informed us that she's in her stable condition now and they transferred her in a private room. Nastress lang daw ung heart nya. Sa isip ko paanong di maiistress heart nya eh nagpaulan at gusto pa magpakidlat dun. Baliw lang diba? Pero pwede din naistress sya sakin. Baka nasobrahan ng kilig sa hug ko. Tsk! Yabang lang Ravena.
When her parents finally arrives, her mom was teary eyed and looking so nervous. She looks so worried too. But Mika's dad is exactly the opposite. He just asked me in a very calm manner what really happened to us. Then he thanked me for saving their daughter. Sa isip ko kahit sino naman asa position ko hindi magdadalawang isip na isave ang anak nila lalo asa ganung sitwasyon kami. Hindi ko na lang sinabi sakanila na nakita ko ang anak nilang nagpapaulan at naghihintay ng kidlat baka kahit sila maweirduhan sa anak nila.
