KIEFER
A month had passed after Mika and I finished the project in her Theoper subject. Proud of her. Mika did great on that said subject. Gaining an average of 1.0 and earning a new rank in her class. She even gave me a hard copy of my autobiography, that until now I don't have a courage to read. Maybe one day. Soon. While me, then began to developed a new trust to a stranger again.
Who would have thought that after doing that interview with her, we will have a connection. We ended the project but began something new and gained each other's trust. Honestly, Mika seems to be my new kindred spirit and though we seldom see each other because of our busy schedule, we managed to talk every often via face time or by exchanging text messages or phone calls. We became constant chatters and close friends too. We can talk some random things and everything in between until both of us are tired and sleepy. Every night we're like that. And every night I developed a new habit of staring at her stolen pic which I secretly kept in my phone, before I doze off. Then everyday my mind is wandering thinking about her. Hay! Miss Reyes stop it please. I'm not suppose to feel this way to you. It will be just too complicated for us.
But still, I don't know what's got into me but I somehow liking what we have right now. A bloosoming friendship that has no pretentions and facades. It's just purely and utterly me. She's the one who put sense into me whenever I felt I'm loosing it.
Si Mika ngayon ung comfortable ako maging ako. Sya ung kaibigan ko ngayon na hindi ko kelangan mag alangan na magkwento kasi kapag nakinig sya alam nya na agad ung magpapakalma sakin. Sobrang lawak ng ideas nya. Open minded. Fair enough. Yung akala ko nagmatured na ko di pa pala. Malayo pa ko kung ikukumpara kay Mika. Now I can say Mika is my guardian angel. She's guiding me to be not be the best but a better one.
"Manong you've got the invitation for the summer end party of ADMU-DLSU?"
Thirdy asked me upon entering my room. I was infront of the computer, doing some researchs in one of my particular major subject.
"Yups! Friday pa yun ah? Tuesday pa lang. Excited ka naman."
"Ako na naman. But sympre coz Thea will be my date."
Thirdy said grinning and wiggling his brows. Kiefer just smirks.
"Manong are you going solo on Friday?"
"Yaaass!!"
"Nothing in particular right now? I've heard kasi..hmm narinig ko lang naman na you're eyeing to a special girl. 5'11 daw ung height huh?"
"Gago! Issue ka Ferdinand. Saan mo narinig yan aber?"
"Sus wag ako Manong. Mestiza daw. Long legs. Short haired. Ex volleybelle. Green blooded. MR3."
"Huh? Anung MR3?"
"Mika Ravena ata ay Reyes pala. Mika Reyes tres."
After I heard those from Thirdy, I found myself grinning like an idiot. I was twitterpatted.
"Yan..yan tayo eh..smile na lang Manong."
I sighed loudly. Thirdy gave me a meaningful look.
"Yeah. I can say she's a special friend. But maybe hanggang friends lang talaga. Komplikado ung mga bagay bagay eh."
"Ha? Manong di ko gets eh. Paano magiging komplikado eh mukhang single naman si Miks at single ka din unless you're still inlove with Ate Ish."
"Bro matagal na ko moved on kay Ish. Natuto na ko. I have nothing with Ish now. Si Mika kasi sobrang special nya kya ang hirap mafall."
"Wow ah. Ikaw ba yan The Phenom? Manong wag mo sabihin na natotorpe ka?"
"Hindi ko alam Thirdy. Pero mas gusto ko na lang maging torpe kay Mika kesa maging complicated lahat."
