The secret to magic is using the energy inside of you to affect what is outside. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only changed. Energy calls to itself. The basic principles of magic.

We went from mortals to the rulers of worlds, we led revolutions, redesigned reality, discovered the multiverse, changed the course of history. This is how it all started.

Genet

At this moment you hold a copy of a large collection of interviews taken by Karios Listeners based on what would later be known as the Diagonal events. I wasn't there but a few people that would rise to the ranks of timekeepers were. The interviews were taken about two thousand years after the events occurred.

While you would think that these recordings would be blurred & muddled that isn't how the power of Listeners work. Everything that you will read is written exactly as they occurred in the time of the Diagonal events.

We see all that happened as what happened to younger versions of ourselves so if some seem wistful or angry that's because hindsight affects how we can see.

Back then the people that went through the events were very different than how they ended up later & long use of magic can twist the mind.
