persephone
"You're dead. You're not real. Leave my presence."
"So this one doesn't like ghosts. Such a shame for being close with Melinoe then," she replied, looking very displeased.
I glared at her. "You don't get to speak her name."
"I'm her mother, am I not? She's my daughter."
"Blood does NOT define family, Persephone. You are no mother, you are a monster." I replied, grabbing my sword and placing it at her neck. "You are a witch, who tortured her children, broke them down, just to watch them bleed gold." Immediately I turned my back to her.
Persephone walks up behind me. "Family isn't your strong suit, now is it? You're just like your father. Aggressive, unable to reason, and deathly annoying. I don't see why Melinoe hasn't casted you away yet. Maybe she's afraid of you. Your father did kill her only parents and almost her."
I immediately looked down then looked back at her over my shoulder.
"What do you mean, 'almost her' Persephone?" I growled, saying it through my teeth.
"It's not like it isn't above him to. He killed your little-"
I grabbed her ghostly body and glared. "Speak."
"Off of me, filth! You're talking to a queen. The Queen of the Underworld."
"A dead one. Now speak!"
She grinned. "During our fight, speaking of mine and Kratos', Melinoe was there. She was with me. For training. I wanted her to witness her mother's greatness. After he damaged me, Melinoe was knocked away from me. She scurried away as I was trying to get back up. Melinoe caught her attention as she tried to fly away but Kratos grabbed her out of the air by her leg and threw her. Her back crashed onto one of the Atlas totems I built, the pillar came down on two of her wings. He was getting ready to slay her if I didn't use necromancy to bring soldiers back to life to pull him away from her. She watched me die. Macaria watched Hades die. Zagreus' was already dead. Kratos murdered him and Melinoe had to revive him. I watched."
I sighed and crossed my arms. "Thank you. Now I have another reason to kill him."
I flipped my sword and shoved it in it's sheath. I walked away from her and felt her tug at my arm.
"I know you despise me. But watch over Melinoe. I know that Macaria and Zagreus will, but I need a dependent person to-"
"Have faith in your child, Persephone," I replied.
"Who are you talking to, Adonis," Melinoe asked, hovering towards me. I turned to her then looked back and saw the ruins. Melinoe landed in front of me and smiled a bit. I gently placed my hand on her head.
"I was talking to myself. Let's go on to Elysium," I said, pulling her through the ruins.
After venturing for a while, Melinoe and I made it to the only golden and alive part of the Underworld: Elysium.

It was beautiful, brightly lit. Hades asked Helios to come through to bring in daytime to make Persephone happy. I've heard stories of how hard he tried genuinely to do so because he knew that she didn't love him at all. He even allowed her to torment him.
Melinoe and I were met at a golden gate that was protected by two large guards, who towered over us. They looked like giant dogs but their eyes were a ghastly blue. They leaned down to sniff us and Melinoe gently rubbed their heads.
"Don't be afraid, they won't bite."
