"Even the good leaders make poor decisions. It's the best leaders who take responsibility for them." -Kratos
/////////////
The fact that Lyssa didn't hesitate to use Calliope's soul hurts me deeply. She was already saddened and depressed because she believes Kratos abandoned her. Calliope isn't and wasn't ever vengeful, which means her soul was manipulated and blinded with the hurt that she had.
They used my sister's pain to get me to kill Kratos faster. I scoffed. I didn't think a god could stoop so low.
I laid back on Damon and thought who was aligned with Lyssa, who helped me with my training and who agreed on doing this. Lyssa usually doesn't move on her own, she talks to her group of gods and they make a plan. She's just their representative and the one who came to me first.
There was Eris and Nemesis, of course. But I sighed and thought to myself who aligned themselves with Lyssa and helped train me:
Dolos, the Greek god of lies and trickery.
The Keres who were dubbed as the goddesses of death, who's powers amplified after Thanatos' and Erinyes' death.
The Maniae, who now took the "role" of fates. They were close with Lyssa and they have tormented my mind for ages.
And Enyo, who was basically Ares' counterpart, and the goddess of violent war. She gave Lyssa the title but Enyo's violent nature still remained, ecspecially towards me since Kratos killed her brother. She is followed by the spirits of pain, panic and famine.
All children of Nyx, except for Enyo.
I must talk to Nyx before I do anything rash. She's not Zeus. Despite me being the daughter of the "God-Killer", Nyx is a Primordial and the daughter of Chaos. She hasn't reached out to Kratos for killing Thanatos but she also didn't seem angry. Erebus on the other hand, her husband, was.
I needed to find a way to talk to Nyx, but going back to Olympus right now was not the best idea. I read that dreaming helps, since she's the goddess of the night. But until night time comes, I need to focus on other things:
What other gods of this land now know of my existence?
What other gods and beings here pose a threat?
Kratos is his own problem in himself.
I walked out my home and placed my daggers on my back and my bag was attached to Damon, who walked proudly beside me. Dagny looked towards me with a bright smile on her face. "Going out today?"
I nodded. "I must speak with someone of great importance. Don't worry, it's not Kratos quite yet," I said, returning her smile.
"Just return safely, Adoni," she said as the gates to the village opened for me.
"I always do!"
Walking out the village, Damon looked up at me. "We're going deep into the forest, where no mortals should be at. I'm going to talk to Hildr. I need information on the gods here. I don't want them getting in my way at all," I said, sighing.
Damon stopped walking and I got on his back. He sprinted, running through the woods like it was nothing. I took out the rune Hildr gave me and looked at it. "How do I use this rune with it's strange writing?"
ᚺᛁᛚᛞᚱ, ᛈᛟᚹᛖᚱᚠᚢᛚ ᚡᚨᛚᚴᚤᚱᛁᛖ ᛟᚠ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚨᛚᛚᚠᚨᛏᚺᛖᚱ, ᚤᛟᚢᚱ ᛗᚨᛁᛞᛖᚾ ᛋᚢᛗᛗᛟᚾᛋ ᚤᛟᚢ!
Hecate's magic jewel on my forehead flowed through me and my eyes glowed white as the strange language became the language I was familiar with.
"Hildr, powerful Valkyrie of the Allfather, your maiden summons you!"
