"Famine. Flood. Flame. What has the world done to deserve such cruelty? What did children do to deserve such brutality? The gods have grown silent and we can only pray that the Underworld has more mercy on us than the mortal world."

I flipped my blades around, forming them into a bow and I pulled back, causing Eris to scoff. "Even adorning clothes from a land that isn't your own. How cliche, Sozime. Let me save you from yourself...so you can feel the embrace of Olympus again..."
"Lyssa's coven does poorly to represent Olympus. I will not be used again." I replied, causing a lightning arrow to form as I inhaled deeply. "I will not be your monster any longer."
She smirks and suddenly, one of her shadows grab me, sending me through the wall of Eleo's home and I slide back, glancing up to get hit in the face, sending me into a pillar. I get up slowly and I mold my bow into a spear.
"Get up, Sozime. Are you not going to fight me like the Spartan you are?! I knew you wouldn't succeeded, but Lyssa had so much faith in you! And you failed her! You failed your sister, your mother and Zagareus. How foolish."
She grins, causing shadows to form and I inhale sharply. I didn't want to be burned again by my rage, but she was inducing it more and more. I held back, glancing at the burns around my tattoos from when I fought Baldur. I didn't want to loose control again.
She stepped up extending her hand and sending her shadows towards me. Flipping my spear, I blocked and looked around to see her move fast enough to catch me off guard. Glancing at her out the corner of my eye, I blocked a direct attack from her from behind. Her eyes were filled with a slight bit of insanity, as she grinned. Normally, she adorned a numb expression with an occasional grin. But, she was losing it.
"Nemesis is dead because of you, monster. My counterpart is gone because you didn't want to fall in line." She said coldly, a serial killer smile on her face. I planted my feet in the ground, trying to hold her back and I finally pushed her back. She was adorning her signature golden bracers and Nemesis' broadsword. Her wings pulsating with black energy unfolded and she dragged her blade against the ground.
"Sozime...Look out!" She yelled out as she came towards me madly, smiling.
I looked up and she blitzed me again. I side stepped it and gasp as she hits my back, sending me flying forward before following up with her sword. I kneeled and blocked with my spear, gritting my teeth. One thing about Eris that I hated was how she could cloud my senses almost easily, as if my body didn't pick her up as a threat.
"Let Go."
My eyes widened as I was caught off guard by my own voice in my head.
"You, holding back? How foolish can you be... Is this you feeling bad now? For killing Enyo and Nemesis? You allowed your anger to take over and now you regret it? Tighten. Up."
The voice manifested into me, just created of shadows and I felt its presence around me. I held my head and was brought to a knee as Eris smirked from afar, dragging the blade against the floor. We were where in Zeus' throne room where the 12 Olympians sat before. I gasped, breathing heavily as Eris began to speak, her words drowning out as the other me crouched beside me.
"She taunts you so openly, Adoni..." I glanced at her, locking eyes with her crimson ones. She was me, just outside of my body. "How dare you allow this...I was with you when you killed Nemesis and Enyo. Even those damned furies. Every adversary you faced, I was alongside you. This...suppression of your true nature is humiliating. She'll kill us if you don't let go. I'm not sure about you, but I want to live to keep fighting, Adoni. She doubts you, war goddess. Show her how grave her mistake is and let go."
