Sleepless Nights (RinHaru)

Feelings.. They suck..

"Rin... Hello.. Rin.. RIN WAKE UP!!" The voice above the young man called.
Rin lazily opened one eye.
Crap.
It was Haru.
"Really? You'd rather be here than actually accept my request to hang out?" Haru crossed his arms, looking down.

"Sorry Haruka, I-" Rin started to apologize, only to be cut off again. "It's Haru. And sorry won't cut it Shark Boy." He glared at him.
Damn, what's gotten into him?
"Hey, what's with the name calling? I didn't do anything wrong.."

This is usually how conversations were with these two..
Haru would find Rin in his normal spot, a booth in a nearby diner, and decide to yell at him for no reason.
This time... Well there might have been a reason.
Rin had recently told Haru and the other members of the Iwatobi Swim Club he was going to Australia to see his home-stay parents, Russel and Lori, and Haru had been giving him an attitude since then.

"Whatever... You coming or not?"
"Yeah... Yeah okay..." Rin got up and left the money for the purchases he had made.

The two began walking in silence, leaving Rin to his thoughts
'Why is he so pissy. Ugh.. I've been avoiding him for a damn reason.. He always makes me feel... Weird. I hate it..'

"Oi, douchebag, we're here.." Haru nudged him, pulling Rin out of his thoughts.
"The swim club? Why?"  He raised an eyebrow.
"The real question is why are you going to Australia?" 

"This again?" Rin rolled his eyes. "Haru, we've been over this.. I'm visiting-"

"Russel and Lori, yeah I know. But why now?"

Rin blinked a few times. Was Haru...jealous?

"It's the Summer.. I can't go during the school.. Well.. College.." He ran his fingers through his hair.

"....Tch.. Whatever.." Haru crossed his arms. "Have fun, Jaws 2.." 

"What is it with you and name calling?! Damn.. It's not like you! You used to be so laid back and after school ended you've been... ugh.. It's like the fire from our relay is back and won't go out! It's obvious you don't want me here or being around you because it 'aggravates' you that I'm going to be seeing people that make me happy. You used to make me happy, now I just don't want to be around you!" Rin snapped.

Haru was about to say something else until Makoto came running out. 

"Haru, where've you been? We've been waiting for you! Come on!" Makoto grabbed Haru's hand and ran into the building.

'I guess I'm invisible now..' A scowl formed on Rin's face as he walked away. 'Stupid Makoto always getting in the way of everything.. What am I even thinking? I'm not... haha very funny.. I can't possibly be jealous of him.. Am I?.. Maybe..'

Rin walked back to his house, flopping onto his bed. 

"God... I hate feelings.. They suck.."
