Sleepless Nights (RinHaru)

Gaydar..?

It had been only two days and Rin was already going a bit nutty. Crazy is such a harsh word, nutty is slightly more whimsical..

It was so annoying.. Rin was thousands of miles away.. Well, converting miles to kilometers and it would be 6,848 kilometers. Totally not crazy. 

Anyways, he was such a ways away from Haru... and the rest of his friends and he hated how he couldn't talk to him- them. He couldn't talk to them. 

Well, he could, technically. He just couldn't bring himself to press the call button. His finger lingered over the button for a good 20 minutes (maybe more, maybe less) and he just froze. Why was it so damn difficult to press an itty bitty button on a shitty little phone? 
After those possibly metaphorical, possibly not, 20 minutes he just decided to throw the phone at the wall.. Then he ran to pick it up and laid back down on the bed. 

This happened 3 times.. So, pretty much he just debated whether or not to call Haru... His friends. Not just Haru. All of them.. All of them but Makoto. Yeah, seems legit. 

This was the fourth time he was about to go through another 20 minutes of torture, and his phone rang, causing him to jump a bit. 

It was Nagisa, great. 

"Hello?" He answered hesitantly, "Why are you calling me?"

"Wow. Rude." Nagisa replied, "Just wanted to ask how you were."

"I'm fine. Great. I'm.. I'm great." He said quickly. 

It sounded like Nagisa pulled the phone away from his ear, "Told you! He's losing it!"

"Nagisa.. Who the hell are you talking to?" Rin sighed deeply, "Did you make a bet on my sanity?"

"No.. Maybe. I'm hanging out with Rei and Haruka." 

At the same time, somehow, Rin and Haru both said, "It's Haru,".

"Oh wow.. Okay I'm hanging up now." Rin said, "Bye. Tell Gou I'll call her after I eat dinner,"

With that, he hung up, tossing his phone across the room. 

Shit. Shitty shit shit. 

Nagisa and Rei already somehow knew about his weird feelings toward Haru, and maybe their gaydars went off.. Another word to the list of words that Rin hated. 

Kinda, Nah, Maybe, Crazy, and Gaydar. 

Did he have a Gaydar? How did Rei and Nagisa do it? Were they just banging for so long that they somehow knew when another guy kinda wanted to bang another guy but in a totally (maybe not) platonic way? Fuck. That sounded super gay. 

Okay, just maybe (ugh.) Rin was a little gay. So what? It's not like there aren't respected people who are gay. Like.. Like those American guys who do makeup for a living - not that he watched them or anything. Gou liked them.. maybe a little too much. She always had a thing for boys.. 

He tried to keep his mind off the people back home, shutting his eyes to try and take a nap. Goddamn, it was hard not to think about people. Specifically ones with a set of blue eyes and freakishly gorgeous hair even after being in chlorine for most of the time. It was horrible. The worst. 

It got to the point where he forgot to go down for dinner, just staring up at the ceiling. 

Needless to say, he wasn't getting too much sleep..
