(Filler Chapter)
"Rin... it's about time you came out!" Lori called behind the closed bedroom door.
There was a crash, the sound of rushing footsteps, and a slam as Rin dashed over to open the door.
"What? What do you mean?" Rin asked frantically, his face bright red.
"... Come out of your room.." Lori said slowly, a bit confused as to why he was so flustered. "You've been cooped up in there for a good few days.. I thought you would've been going to the beach by now.."
"Ah right totally. Yeah. I.. I uhm haven't been feeling my best. Airline food, probably." Rin was still embarrassed.
"Rin, we both know you don't eat airline food. Could you please tell me what's wrong?" She frowned a bit. "I don't want you to stay in here all by yourself for the rest of the time you're here.."
Rin sighed deeply, opening the bedroom door a bit wider. and motioning for Lori to come in.
She sat on the bed, looking rather worried.
Was Rin really about to do this? Yeah. Maybe.
No.
No, he couldn't.
Wait.
Yes.
Yes, he could.
There's no turning back now.
"Lori... I.." He sighed again, staring at the floor, "I think.. I think I know I'm.."
"You're what..?" The woman was a bit confused.
"Gay. I.. I think I'm gay." He blurted out, shutting his eyes. "I.. I'm gay."
There was an uncomfortable silence in the room; Rin started tearing up.
"Rin... Love, come sit with me." Lori said finally, patting the spot next to her on the bed.
Rin obeyed, trying not to make any eye contact with her as he did so.
She wrapped an arm around his shoulders, pulling him a bit closer in her motherly way.
"Is this why you've been hiding in here for so long? Have you been afraid?"
He nodded slowly, trying his best not to cry.
"You don't need to be afraid about anything, alright? I'll care about you no matter what." She said softly. "Who's the young man you're stressing over, dear?"
"I.. Don't think I can tell you..." He said, wiping away tears that were yet to fall just so he wouldn't look weak. "I'm not ready.."
"It's alright." She hugged him closer, "Everything will be alright."
