Moments of Xiao and lumine

Chapter 1 (Nostalgia of Xiao) Part 2

'Alright! Paimon's got the plate of tofu! Let's go!' said Paimon while carefully holding a plate of freshly made almond tofu.

'Be careful!'exhorted Lumine with a trace of nervousness. She looked like that plate of tofu is a valuable treasure. 

'Heh heh... Paimon noticed all the changes. Not even a single emotion can escape my eyes. Hehe!' thought Paimon complacently. She observed closely of Lumine.

Lumine and Paimon walked slowly up the stairs to the balcony. When they reached the balcony, Paimon said, 'Traveler! It's time to say your magic word and poof! Xiao will be there!' 

'Alright...Hope I won't bother him.' hoped Lumine. She took a deep breathe of fresh air with a scent of flowers. It is a sweet aroma carried by the wind. 

'Xiao? You there?' Lumine shouted loudly. After a few seconds,her hope lost because Xiao didn't respond or appear. She was disappointed. Her heart felt inexplicably empty. She wondered what is the reason behind all these sudden emotions.

'You called?' A low and steady voice rang in the ear of Lumine. She was surprised. She looked straight, a young Alatus with a emotionless face looked at her. It was undoubtedly Xiao! 

'Xiao! I thought you wouldn't come.' said Lumine with a slight of joy.

'I've told you last time. When I make you a promise, I will honour it. Did I not?'said Xiao with a calm attitude.

'Yeah but... eh. Anyways, Paimon and I bought a plate of almond tofu and we couldn't finish it since we were full. I didn't want to waste food. Would you mind?' requested Lumine softly with a gentle smile.  

'The traveler thought of you when she first heard the word almond tofu.' added Paimon thoughtfully.

'Hm?'The face of the alatus had a slight surprised emotion but quickly turned back into emotionless. No one really noticed that, even the 'detective' Paimon.

'Hand it over.' said Xiao. 

'Okey!' Paimon handed the plate of tofu with a pair of wooden chopsticks to Xiao. 

Xiao stood on the balcony and ate it quietly while standing. It was quite awkward for Paimon but not for Lumine. Lumine was smiling brightly the whole entire time. 

'Uhhh....This scene right now looks like I'm a third wheel. I'm like the bad guy who destroy a beautiful scenery of a sweet, lovely couple. It looks like I am the only problem here. Ahhh! What am I thinking? Hmm...looking at Lumine, she looks satisfied. Is she satisfied just by looking at Xiao eating? Wouldn't that a bit too obvious? Thankfully Xiao's attention is on the tofu. Phew... I'm pretty sure the traveler developed a special feeling towards Xiao. She didn't even notice it. Only I, detective Paimon noticed all the things. Clever me! Now now now... does Xiao have any feelings towards Lumine? That is the major problem. Hm. It still need to be observed.' thought Paimon deeply. 

'Done. Anything else?'spoke up Xiao while handing  the plate to Lumine.

'No...nothing...'smiled Lumine. She held the plate tightly.  'Um...Also, me and Paimon are planning to head to Inazuma. So...just informing you.'informed Lumine gently.

'The traveler decided to tell you first Xiao!'added Paimon.

'Hm? Inazuma?'Xiao was shocked on the inside but managed to pretend on the outside. He was a bit confused of the thought that he would miss the traveler's accompany. He also had this fussy feeling near her. He couldn't think of an answer at present. He might ask Zhongli or maybe Hutao for some advice. Maybe he is sick? 

'If you don't have anything else, I have something else to do. I'll excuse myself.' Poof and Xiao is gone. 

'Aww. I thought Xiao could stay a bit longer.'said by Paimon, she said it on purpose. Paimon might need to help Lumine to face her own feelings. Paimon squinted her eye in the dazzling sunlight.

'I guess so. He is busy after all. Come on, we'll have to head to Inazuma. If my brother asked me to reach the journey until the end, then so be it.' said Lumine closing her eyes remembering the scene where her brother left her heartlessly. 

'Don't be so sad. You still have me! I'll never leave you no matter what.'comforted  Paimon. She looked like she gave a huge promise.

'Thanks Paimon. Let's go now.'smiled Lumine. She got comforted by Paimon and re-energised by those positive words.

The traveler and Paimon head to Inazuma by Beidou's boat. Another journey of the traveler begins. Lighting storms and a battle with Raiden Shogun awaits. There might be ups and downs but one thing is for sure. A certain somebody will understand and face his own feelings while the traveler is  confronting a dangerously stubborn leader of Inazuma. 

After the traveler set off,  Xiao paid a visit to Zhongli. At present, Zhongli was sitting at a restaurant called Third-Round Knockout listening to a storyteller and also sipping tea. 

'My lord.' said Xiao. He appeared beside Zhongli in a blink of an eye. He used some of his anemo elemental skill to make sure no one hears their conversation. It'll cause a commotion which is not necessary. 

(Just arrived at Inazuma in game irl)

'Yes?'asked Zhongli. He was a sipping a cup of hot tea that pleasures him. 

'My lord. I possibly might have a illness which caused me frustration. I can't seem to find a cure to it.' said Xiao respectfully. 

'What are the symptoms then?'asked Zhongli with a bit of curiousness. A Yaksha don't get sick easily nor often, it is very rare to happen.

'I...cannot explain with words. I usually have a warm feeling towards the traveler but not anyone else. I feel...'

'Hang on. You mean you felt joy?'

'Joy-? What is that?'

'It's an emotion which humans usually have. They feel it when nearing friends, family and more people. Smiling is a way to express this kind of feeling but some fakes it to cover up their true emotions. They don't want anyone to know. I'm quite off topic. Joy is happiness. It brings you a good mood. As for the traveler, you have to distinguish whether it's joy or...'

'Or what my lord?'

'Love.'
