Moments of Xiao and lumine

~Chapter 5 (Double Trouble) Part 3~

Lumine and Paimon went to the top of the mountain Tianheng to search for Xiao. (Don't ask how they found Xiao. Instinct is active.)

'Xiao!'shouted Lumine from not afar. She threw herself into Xiao's warm arms. 'Lumi, be careful. You just woke up from the illusion. You should take a good rest.'hugged back Xiao tightly. 'I will. Don't worry.'comforted Lumine with a soothing voice. 'By the way, Zhongli and I discovered something which might is quite important. We found out that the organisation might be located in Snezhnaya which means is related to the fatui.'explained Lumine with a sigh. Xiao observed Lumine's facial expression closely and said, 'You're not planning to go there, right? Harbingers aren't easy to deal with.'He stopped for a moment of meditation and added, 'If you are planning to go there, take me with you.' 'I will Xiao, don't worry. After i got trapped into the illusion, you looked like you have something buried in you mind. Is there anything you want to say?'asked Lumine as she held the Yaksha's cold hands. They were freezing cold which made Lumine worried.'I just want to keep you safe and sound and away from dangers. I think i failed to sustain my promise to you for more than one time already.'smiled Xiao in bitterness. 'Xiao, this isn't your fault. You don't have to put the blame on yourself.'sighed Lumine slowly. When will this Yaksha ever learn how to release the burden on his shoulders? Xiao averted her eye contact and glanced at the Liyue Harbour quietly. Lumine didn't bother him and instead sat beside, having a simple chat with Paimon as usual. 

'Lumine, why is Xiao always so emotional? Does this relate to his past?'gossiped Paimon with a questionable question stuck into her mind lately. 'Paimon, it's not a ideal idea to gossip this in front of me. It's very inappropriate and impolite.' Paimon smirked and said with a teasing tone, 'I get it. You're defending him. No need to show off.' 'I'm just being honest, Paimon.'stated Lumine with her eyes  blinked deftly. What they don't know, a shallow smile somehow oddly appeared at Xiao's face, which made his mood much better.

"Roar! Grr...I will find you and swallow you whole! Mark my words!"

A loud and enormous growling voice spread over the land of contract. Oddly only the people with visions could hear the horrifying sentence. The land of Teyvat had a short but shaky earthquake which frightened every single person existing. Xiao quickly backed off and supported Lumine's unbalanced body. 'Thanks Xiao.'thanked Lumine sincerely. 'Stay alert.'reminded Xiao with a frown. 'Ahh!! What is happening right now? Huh? It's not shaking anymore? Is it safe now?'muttered Paimon tentatively, peeked her tiny head behind Lumine's back. When the earthquake started, Paimon swiftly hid behind Lumine's back. 'Not sure. There might be so remaining shaking.'said Lumine unsurely. She almost fell off the cliff if Xiao didn't catch her. Then, it'll be an unimaginable disaster. 'What was that?! It was so terrifying! Oh, why does bad things keep happening?'shivered Paimon in fear while still floating. '...'Xiao kept silent but you can tell from his expression that he was not pleased. 'Xiao? Do you know whose voice that belonged to?'enquired Lumine in sluggish movements, it was quite obvious that she was affected by the sudden shake. 'No. Never heard of it before.'Xiao shook his head and asked, 'Can you still walk?' 'I can try if there aren't any more shakes and I think I accidentally sprained my ankle by that shake. Wha-? What are you doing? Xiao! Put me down!'flustered Lumine as she was carried horizontally by Xiao. She struggled to get off Xiao's sudden arms. 'Don't move. You ankle is swollen already.' 'What did Paimon just witness? Ah!!! This isn't appropriate for Paimon to look!'squeaked Paimon with a surprised gasp. 'Hold on.'said Xiao deeply, he then teleported the three of them to Wangshu Inn. 

As soon as the three of them teleported back, Ellen was staring at them, looking very confused of their gesture. She got woken up by the sudden earthquake just now. 

'...Uhh...Am I interrupting anything?'spoke Ellen in an awkward cough. 'Gah! Ok! Put me down right now! It's so embarrassing!'said Lumine spontaneously. Her face was completely red. She got off Xiao's arms but still in a weak condition. 'Careful.'sighed Xiao. He wondered the reason of why the earthquake was caused by. Ellen looked at the sweet and heartwarming interactions between them and concluded a conclusion:These two are meant for each other. They treat each other very well. I assume this mate of sister's is loyal and won't betray her. If he does...Ellen's face turned horrifying but quickly changed back to normal in a second. Ellen smiled politely and greeted, 'Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ellen, sister of Lumine and Aether. I suppose you are the Yaksha my sister had mentioned before, Xiao. Nice to meet you.' (They didn't shake hands.) Xiao nodded, looking very calm, 'You too.' The ambience once froze again. Ellen and Xiao had nothing to talk to each other. 'Uh...well! Do you know what was that sudden earthquake?'Lumine knew that the surrounding feeling was weird so she swiftly changed the subject. 'I have no clue. I just got awakened by the sudden shock.'Ellen shook her head in frustration. 'I will find you and swallow you whole... Who does "you" refer to?'thought Lumine deeply. She continued to think according to the remaining clues, 'The sudden earthquake started off coming from the ground. Could it be where the Chasm is? If so, why does nobody ever noticed it? A big growl monster like that won't be easy to ignore. Is anyone responsible for it to appear? The earthquake's effect...the people!'Lumine widened open her eyes with a shock. She looked towards Xiao. They clearly just had the same thought. (Ellen didn't heard the growling and thought it was an usual earthquake like other worlds. She was sleepy.) 'Paimon, you stay here and stay good care of my sister. Me and Xiao got some urgent stuff to do right now!'After Lumine finished her sentence, Xiao teleported the both of them out.
