My Love | poetry

Can we just pretend it isn't that bad
You never got the letters I wrote on the notepad.
I was thinking about burning them kind of,
Don't know if I will regret it, my love.

If I got there will I come back?
Can I see you without falling back?
Have you seen me the same way,
That I thought you would?

The flames are haunting me down,
Escaping is not something to think about.
Is it the truth you've sold me these days?
Or was my front door just a phase?

Will you ever come back there and then?
Will I forgive you like I did back when,
You left the first few times?
Maybe if you promise me the same crimes.
