Greeting Dad

"Dad! I'm home!" You called as you walked into your home. Your father had the day off since he hadn't been feeling well, so when you saw him walk down the hallway to greet you, you were more than pleased. Your dad was a tall man, with dark brown hair that was greying on the sides and wrinkles that spotted his laugh lines. He smiled and engulfed you in a tight hug, your arms making their way around his shoulders. He squeezed you a bit before pulling away, ruffling your hair. "How was school?" "It was great! I have a good feeling about my tests, and Bertholdt brought extra cookies at lunch to share." You replied happily, smiling brightly. Your dad chuckled and nodded, his smile resting on his tannish face as he looked at you. "Now is that the tall one or the one with the freckles?" He questioned, having never been very good with names. "The tall one." You chuckled, following him into the kitchen. "So dad..." You trailed off, leaning against the counter as he grabbed an apple from the fridge. "Hmm?" He hummed, looking back at you curiously. You bit your lip a bit, looking away. "A couple friends of mine invited me to Hokkaido with them and a bunch of my other friends. You're not going to be home...so can I go?" You asked hopefully, biting your lip harder. Your dad chuckled. "I don't see why not. As long as you're not just with boys." "Oh no! Sasha and Mikasa will be there too!" You didn't know for sure, but if Eren was going there was no doubt Mikasa was too, same went for Sasha if Connie was going. You smiled brightly at the greying man, hugging him tightly as he laughed. "Now go get ready for dinner.  I have a co-worker coming to visit."
