"Joce wake up your gonna be late for your first day of school!" I hear my aunt Tammy yell. I quickly get up and start getting ready. I had been staying with my aunt Tammy since my mom wasn't really around anymore. Aunt Tammy moved to Los Angeles California to start over. I figured I should start over too, so this year it was gonna be different. No boy drama, No girl drama, No fighting, just a normal year for once. As I finish getting ready I grab my phone and head downstairs. "Morning Aunt Tammy" I say. "Good morning gem, Grab a pancake and hurry up, you wouldn't wanna miss the bus!" She says with a nice energetic voice. I do as she says and I start walking to the bus stop. As soon as I got there the bus came, I sit in the front of the bus. As we got to the next bus stop, A kid with headphones and a shirt with a game on it, was dancing. I felt incredibly bad for him. Everyone started laughing at him. The bus honked at him as a sign for him to get on the bus. As soon as he got on the bus it was an endless laughter. I moved my stuff "Hey you can sit next to me" I said with a nice smile on my face. I heard a group of kids making jokes about him on the bus. I told him to just ignore them because they aren't worth his time. When we got off the bus me and the strange kid started to walk together. "Sooo what's your name??" He said trying to build conversation. "Jocelyn" I said. "Cool I'm Kenny" he said with a nice soft smile. I start to change the topic and say "So Kenny what's your first class?" he replies and says "History, you?" I reply and say "Biology" Soon after that we went our ways and went to class. For 3rd period we both had gym. as me and Kenny are sitting on the bleachers, Coach yells a bunch a names but then I hear him yell " Lawerence, Peyton your on the court" Me and Kenny quickly get up and head to the basketball court.I hear a guy with brown straight hair say to Kenny "I'll cover the ballerina" that was when I realized he was the kid making the jokes on the bus. From that second I knew I didn't like him. The brown haired guy tries to shoot but Kenny blocks it and the ball accidentally hit the brown haired boy in the face. Kenny and I quickly run to him and Kenny starts apologizing. The boy gets quite angered but a girl comes over and calms him down. I had heard her call him "Ant" So I am guessing his actual name was Anthony. Coach comes over and asks someone to take Anthony to the nurse to get some ice. Although I said I may not like him I volunteered to just to be nice. As me and him are walking to the nurse he starts talking to me. "So um what's your name?" I reply and say "Jocelyn, I'm guessing yours is Anthony" He stares at me and says "How'd you know that 🤨" I start to laugh and say "Well that girl called you Ant which is typically a nickname for Anthony" he starts to laugh a bit "ohhh you're right and also her name is Lia just in case you were wondering" I'm about to say something back but we get to the nurse. I tell the nurse that he needs some ice because he got hit in the face with a ball. She gives us the ice but by the time we head back coach told everyone to go to their locker room. While I change out of my gym clothes I start to rethink some stuff like was Anthony really a bad person or was it just an act because the way he was acting with me didn't at all scream dick head to me. Also now thinking more he was kinda cute...
*time pass to the end of the day* As I'm sitting on the bus waiting to go home I feel someone sit next to me, it was Anthony. "Hey Jocelyn" he says nervously I reply with a smile on my face "Hi Anthony" "So uh I just wanted to give you my number like just in case you ever wanted to talk outside of school" He hands me a piece of paper that has his number. I put the paper in my backpack and say "I'll make sure to text you!" He gets up and goes to sit with his friends with a smile on his face. I look over to see outside the window but yet again I feel someone sit beside me. I turn over to see and it is now Kenny. Me and Kenny started to talk about the science project where we have to build a volcano. We end up at Kenny's stop and Kenny gives me his number to work on the science project sometime.
Once I get home I go straight to my room and flap on my bed because of how tired I am. My aunt Tammy comes into my room asking how was school and to give her all the details. I have always been close to my Aunt so it was pretty much normal for me to tell her everything. Of course I told her everything but I did mention that there was a cute boy. "Ouuu what's his nameee" she says excitedly "Anthony but I just met him so don't get over hyped" I reply with a smile on my face.
Around 7:30 I decided to text Anthony.
