I Choose You [VegasPete]

Chapter 6 : I hurt you, I don't deserve you

It was a very hard decision for Pete.

Got on that boat and came back to the main family house. This decision broke him apart but he needed to do that, in order to make everything proceed as what he already knew, the original version of his and Vegas' story. So he can be sure where and when will Vegas' die.

He felt sorry for Vegas, for leaving him alone -again.

But this was a necessary thing to do.

It's his plan.

His plan to save Vegas in this reality, because he can't bear another grief of losing him again for the third time.

Everything went just like what he already knew, right after he arrived at the main family house. Everyone was in the middle of his own funeral -this still very funny for Pete after experiencing it twice. Everyone was glad that he came back alive and asked him what happened. Porsche, the one who kept pushing him to tell him the truth. But he remained silent, he didn't want to make Vegas more vulnerable because Kinn and Porsche will avenge him if he told the truth to them.

Pete was pretty much sure he could control everything in this reality because he already experienced it, he only needed to prepare himself to meet Vegas again at the back of Yok's bar. That's the hardest part for him, to act like he hated Vegas so much, even the sight of him tearing him apart when the reality was.. All he ever wanted, all the things he did, the reason behind everything was just his wishes to meet him again.

He missed him.

But Pete is wrong.

No reality can work the same as before, twice. This world has too many variances of its own good. That's why people always say to give your best in every chance you have, because it won't happen twice. It's only for once and that's all. Even if he did exactly just like everything he did before, there is still variance happening.

And the variance is Pete.

This Pete is not his old Pete, this Pete is the Pete that already experienced so many things.

That is something Pete was not aware of, until something in this reality changes and it's like a domino effect, it changes everything after that.

It all only started with a little thing.

Pete's health is deteriorating, and the third day after he returned to the main family house he fainted in front of Kinn and Porsche when he asked him to join them for lunch.

"Khun Vegas, Pete is back to the main family."

When Vegas heard that from his underlings, there was so much emotion he felt at the same time it suffocated him.

He felt sad, hurt, and lonely -but nothing came closer to the betrayal feelings. But on the other side, he somehow felt sort of relieved when Pete decided to leave him. Because he knew Pete was not happy to be on his side, he was not happy with Vegas at all. Vegas only gave him pain and torture, and maybe a little confusion when it came about their sexual desires. Maybe, if we put their sexual compatiability aside, Vegas had no meaning in Pete's life at all.

But for Vegas, Pete means everything. Their little time together, their conversations, how Pete's always made him want to be open and honest with him, wanted him to show his true self, all his ugliness and weakness and yet he didn't look at him like a freak and monster. He somehow embraced it and even consoled him. It broke Vegas' wall.

For the first time in his life, aside from Macau, there is someone he wants to treasure. He wants to make sure that his belly is full, his food is satisfying, his bed is comfortable, his dream is only filled with good dreams, and he wants to make Pete happy. These feelings are new to Vegas and it somehow shaken him.
