Chapter 16 : Lay Down Your Weapons

He will be a part of major family powers that will crush minor family into nothing. And from what he heard, Porsche is there. He will fight Porsche today and he doesn't want it.

He meets Kim, his only little brother in the main lobby. His face is dark. He definitely doesn't want this either. But what will happen if there is no Korn' son in today's attack? Other mafia families might think the major family is falling apart and his father will do anything to stop it from happening.

"You don't need to do this. I will lead the attack."

Kim looks at him, angry. He rarely sees his brother to be this angry. He wants to say something but he shuts his mouth. He only glares at Kinn.

"Kinn, for once, please show me that you are not our father's puppet." He just says that and leaves the scene. When Kinn looks at Kim's back, why does he have the feeling that he won't see his brother again in the near future? Why does it feel like a goodbye scene with his only little brother?

"He left us."

Someone stands near him and says that, Kinn looks to his right side and sees Thankhun there. His eyes are following Kim's movement, until their brother is reaching the main door and leaves.

"I will miss him."

"He will come back, as usual."

Thankhun shakes his head. "No. He won't. He made his decision and this is just him showing us what his decision is."

It's been awhile since the last time Kinn hears those tones on Thankhun's voice. The serious one.

"Have you made your decision, Kinn?" Thankhun looks at him. "I hope when you're back, you will come back to this house with the right decision."

Thankhun leaves him with that open question. The question that keeps bugging him since the day he knows everything, the day when Porsche left this house, left him.

What is the right decision?

Kinn's heart freezes, his mind blank, his body goes auto-pilot. This isn't like the usual him. When they arrive at the minor family house, so early in the morning, he is shocked when he sees the minor family members are there at the gate. Looks like everyone already knows that the major family will attack today and they are well prepared. Their eyes show them fire. What is happening?

Kinn leads his men to fight those men in the gate, but something is wrong. No one really tries to kill him, they kill his men but it's never Kinn as if they let Kinn go inside.

Kinn expects to see Vegas and Pete inside the house, but he only sees Vegas in front of his men in the main lobby of his house. He smiles a little when he sees Kinn.

"I know it. I know your father won't be the one who led this attack." Vegas says in a calm manner. "What does your family want from this attack, dear cousin?"

Kinn eyes looking for someone in those bunch of men in front of him. It's understandable if Vegas uses Porsche to be with him to fight Kinn. Porsche is always Kinn's weakness. But no Porsche in front of him.

No Porsche, no Pete, nothing. Just Vegas and his men. And Kinn with his men. Just like it should be.

"My father wants to take over minor family. Your family is weak right now, it makes the whole family look weak in the eyes of other mafia families. We need to take care of your family first before other families crush yours. Declare defeat before the sun rises and we will spare all your men's life."
