An hour and thirty minutes later...

VROOM! WHOOSH!!!

"Mom, don't you think, you should..." William tried to say before his head wiped back as his mom cut through traffic as if she was trying to evade the police in GTA as she attempted to reach the church where they were holding the funeral.

Before it hit 10:45 a.m., which was previously known as Evergreen Ministries of Saint Elizabeth or so I recalled, however, that was before Dad passed away because of anaplastic thyroid cancer. An aggressive parasitical nuisance that would not budge no matter how many pills or therapy sessions they prescribed him, nothing seemed to work and with time, it worsened until it was finally time to say goodbye...

'Sigh, just why now of all times am I thinking about the jolly fella, oh Lord?' William wondered as he shook his head and forced himself to think about what he would say once he arrived at the church.

In commemoration of his best friend and brother's life after his tragic passing on June 25th, 2022, at a Shell gas station due to a skirmish between rival gangs. Moments after the beginning of a new journey that ended faster than we could anticipate just after the first few steps.

'Even though you might be gone...' Thought William before his mom interrupted his train of thought.

"Shut up and let me drive, William, as I would not have to endanger our lives if you did not forget to buy a fucking black rose?! Even though white is surely a better option," Irene berated as she glanced at her son from the corner of her eye with curiosity and bewilderment as she pulled into the parking lot of the Covenant Community Church and found somewhere to park.

A couple of minutes later...

Click. Thud.

'Sigh, luckily we made it in time,' William thought as he got out of the car and closed the door behind him, "I know you have questions, but I promise you it was for a worthy cause," William replied mysteriously after his mom cut the engine and they stepped out of the car.

Beep.

Before proceeding to click her car key, locking the car behind her, and walking towards the church. Which seemed to have been remolded a bit as it looked completely different from how she remembered it.

"Hmph, it better... as I had enough of your foolishness for one day," Irene stated as she rolled her eyes with an annoyed expression plastered on her face.

...

10 minutes earlier...

"Bro... it's been 20 minutes, just who are we waiting for?" Someone within the pew asked impatiently as they said what was currently on everybody's mind.

"Who knows, but it better be someone famous as this is outrageous!" Someone else said with a chuckle, "Because at this point, I'm about ready to skip the burial part and head straight to the repass."

"Well, whoever they are could they please hurry the fuck up as a nigga about ready to fight even the motherfucking corpse! If it'd end this bullshit earlier like, can I get an amen or something."

"Damn... even the corpse isn't spared, brother?! Now that is a new one, but I understand your resentment as it is a bit stupid to postpone the service, all because a guest did not arrive on time to give their rose..."

"Shhh, I'd better shut up if I were you as our mysterious guest is about to enter," Someone uttered silencing the congregation as everyone collectively turned towards the nave.

"Tsk... whatever," Someone's Bebe kid muttered before taking out their phone and going straight to Instagram's explore page.
