Thud.

"So what now?" Christian muttered as the gates behind him shut and the music vanished, along with the angels that were once flying high in the sky.

"Come, my son!" A mighty yet gentle voice said as a stone path appeared before Christian as the clouds that once obstructed his path moved aside as if a mighty hand had separated the sea like in Exodus. When the Israelites were crossing over the Red Sea just as the Egyptians sought after them.

'Hmm, why does that voice sound familiar?' Christian wondered just before he adhered to the voice and began walking the straight, yet narrow stony path set before him, 'for strait is the path and narrow is the way, which leadeth to life,' (Matthew 7:13-14).

That seemed to stretch into eternity as there was no concept of time in Heaven.

"Relax, my son for there is nothing to fear, for while the darkness was thy friend... the light was a close aid onto thy. So don't fear what thou can't see and let the heart be thy guide through the path of remembrance." The voice said calmly as it echoed through the surroundings causing the once clear path to disappear and be replaced by just a stone tile underneath Christian's foot as darkness encompassed him.

"... okay, well this is unexpected," I sighed as things took a turn, I would say for the worse and what did he mean by, "Don't fear what thou can't see and let the heart be thy guide through the path of remembrance."

2 minutes later...

"Surely, the voice can't be serious and expect me to just walk blindly through darkness, upon a tile that's only half a meter in length and width?" Christian muttered to himself before resigning to fate and taking things one step at a time.

'Sigh, why can't thy children just adhere to my voice and have faith in thy, for while the path may be dark; light is never far from thee.' The voice muttered to itself as from its point of view Christain's path was brightly lit as he was still walking upon the stony path set before him initially.

It is just that life at times makes people think the worst rather than the good in every situation, as why would God put you through something if he did not know through this you would come out a more refined and suitable vessel to conduct his work? So, take a step back and view your current situation or storm from another perspective and think about what God might be trying to tell you or inform you that you need to do or change.

But anywho as Christian continued to walk at a constant and steady pace, slowly the darkness that once surrounded him began to change as memories from when he was born until his unfortunate death at a gas station.

Sprung to life before him like VHS tapes from the nineties as one memory after another played without end, painting the picture of his life from childbirth to his late teens. Along with the highs and lows, he experienced and the emotional rollercoaster behind every instance.

But hey, that's life for you... so while you may fall, do not allow that to stop you from chasing your dreams and becoming something greater than your environment and wildest of dreams. For while the path ahead may be dark and desolate, God is with you through everything as he is just a call away whenever you feel you cannot continue.

Simultaneously, as this went on slowly but gradually, his surroundings began to brighten up as the path before him that was once dark became bright as the memories he forgot and buried in his heart were slowly washed away.

Causing him to realize just how God's love, grace, and mercy had been upon him highlighting that, Psalms 34:18-19 (AMP) rang true, ' The LORD is near to the heartbroken and he saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all.'

10 minutes later...

"Hmm, so this is what God meant by, 'Don't fear what thou can't see and let the heart be thy guide through the path of remembrance,' it isn't the destination, we should be focused on but the journey from out the shadow of death to the valley of life." Christian smiled as he let go of the fear and anxiety that once was upon him and accepted what fate had in store for him.

As he reached the end of his journey and stood before his father and the Creator of the Universe.
