Meanwhile...

"Sigh, just what am I doing?" William muttered after splashing some water on his face as he looked at himself in the mirror.

After, taking a quick piss, and trying to turn his phone on once again as if he were not aware of that due to his phone being exposed to such horrible weather. There was zero to no chance, it would turn on and as expected it did not.

"Tsk, just my luck... now, what shall I do while I wait for my phone to dry?" William wondered as slumped to the ground and leaned on the bathroom sink cabinet.

Thud.

"Hmm? Hey, is everything all right in there, kid?" Steve shouted from the living room before he stopped what he was doing and walked toward the guest bathroom.

"..." William, 'Fuck, it seemed not even in a stranger's house I can get a break.'

Knock.

"Hopefully, he didn't break anything," Steve muttered, "Hey kid, is everything alright?"

He asked once again just to make sure since William did not hear him the first time.

"Everything's okay, sir I'm just a bit of a klutz at times," William replied nervously as he stood up and prepared to exit the bathroom.

"Hmm, well then I'll leave you to your own devices just don't break anything in the process," Steve frowned as he shook his head, 'Out of all the things you could have said you went with the least favorable one, a klutz.'

Steve thought as he returned to the kitchen to retrieve his food and finish Back to the Future I, "Oh, and when you are finished, if you want you could get some of the food, a friend brought as I took out way too much food for myself to eat alone!"

"..." William, 'Is he serious like my guy while you don't give off pedophilia and serial killer vibes, what makes you think I'm going to indulge in the food of someone I just met today.'

A few minutes later...

Sniff. Sniff.

"Wait, wait is that cookout food, I smell?!" William exclaimed to himself as he finally left the bathroom and immersed himself in the aroma of good food.

Food that just seemed to speak to his soul as he could smell the distinct smell of baby back rubs smothered in Sweet Ray's along with mac and cheese. Two of his favorite cookout meals along with candy yams and seasoned greens with bits of smoked turkey.

Click. Thud.

"It seems he finally left," Steve smiled and began to prepare a plate for William with a slice of his homemade Oreo Cheesecake on the side, "I guess he couldn't resist the temptation any longer."

Steve chuckled with a smile as he placed William's plate on the dining table and covered it.
