"Hmm, just who is it now? Tsk... just why, did I agree to cover her shift?" The worker muttered as he walked out from the back to his usual position, right behind the cash register which provided him with a perfect view of the entire store.

Along with the merchandise which ranged from snacks to drinks and about whatever you might find in a local gas station. Additionally, just in case he didn't catch something there was a small monitor beside him that was connected to a camera that could be seen hanging from the ceiling.

As it turned left and right periodically providing the employees with a 360-degree view of the entire store.

'Sigh, who would have thought I would have to resort to buying snacks? Once again to appease my hunger, all because of a slight encounter with two goons. Just what would my old colleagues think of me if they saw my earlier performance? Did I really lose my edge as the director said all those years ago?'

I thought with a sigh after walking into a Shell gas station, oblivious to the man behind the counter. Who was in a state of shock as his eyes bulged out of their sockets in disbelief?

"C... C-Christian is that you?!" The cashier asked as he tried to hold back his tears, after realizing that even though he looked completely different from when he used to attend Parker High School.

The cashier could not deny that there existed a similarity between them in both attire and the way they carried themselves, simple yet mysterious with a bit of icing on the top. Yet, in the end, these are but assumptions, which is why the cashier after a few deep breaths finally mustered the courage to leave his post and approach his "supposedly" old classmate from back in the day.

'Just what is it now...' Christian wondered as he tried to stay calm and collected before he lost his cool. As he looked up from the reach-in refrigerator to see a light-skinned brother with curly hair and almond eyes glancing at him with a burning gaze.

Who was wearing a black and red t-shirt with the company logo attire with a matching visor, black slacks, and a pair of Nike Air Max Plus University Reds?

"Um, is there something I could help you with?" I asked as his gaze was starting to frighten me a bit.

"... sorry, about I was wondering if you by any chance went to Parker High School on 55th Ave?" The cashier asked hopefully as he truly hoped he wasn't delusional, and this was his old classmate from high school.

"Sigh, while I did attend that high school briefly during my senior year... I think you might have the wrong person as the guy you are hoping was me, is dead by now," replied Christian coldly as he found what he was looking for and walked to the next aisle.

Thud.

"Oh, well sorry then... but by any chance do you know where he might have been buried?" The cashier asked still intent on salvaging any info he could get from Christian who might have met his old classmate.

"I wish I could help you, but I honestly don't have the information you seek," I replied as I walked away while holding a Peach Iced Tea Arizona and began searching the next aisle for something else to get.

Disregarding the cashier who kept fidgeting like a fentanyl addict as I kept looking back and forth between either getting a big bag of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos, Hot fries, a Jumbo Honey Bun, or an Oatmeal Creme Pie.

"Sigh, just why is this so hard to pick two?! Like I could just get everything, however, I'm not trying to spend that much on some snacks, that'll barely last me until I reach the crib." I muttered to myself before stealing my resolve and choosing to get two Oatmeal Crème Pies, a big bag of Spicy Sweet Doritos, and a small bag of Hot Fires.
