10 minutes later...
"Hmm, so this is what God meant by, 'Don't fear what thou can't see and let the heart be thy guide through the path of remembrance,' it isn't the destination, we should be focused on but the journey from out the shadow of death to the valley of life." Christian smiled as he let go of the fear and anxiety that once was upon him and accepted what fate had in store for him.
As he reached the end of his journey and stood before his father and the Creator of the Universe.
"So, it seems the journey was fruitful, my child!" The voice said happily as all was not lost just yet and all we need sometimes is just a push in the right direction or time to reflect and applaud ourselves.
"It surely was, however, I don't think that's why you called me here, Master. So, what is my portion as I am no better than the next man, for I am a sinner through and through, who believed by helping others and not helping thyself I could be saved? Nonetheless, it seems that wasn't the path to choose for I chose death rather than life." I said honestly with a sigh as I closed my eyes and waited for God to cast me into hell with the rest of those who sought after the world rather than the Almighty Father.
"Hmm, while true... why do thou believe there isn't a chance for you to still be saved and make amends? For while you may have been a part of the world that was only because thou only knew of the world and not of me, thy Father of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac." God inquired with curiosity as it was interesting to talk to someone who knew him but not of him.
"Um, because that's what I was told, when I first went to Sunday school way before Pop got Alzheimer's," Christian replied even though the true answer was he just never thought he was worthy of God's grace, love, and mercy for he thought he was too fucked up to be saved and made anew.
"Sigh, my child the only way this will work is if you are not only honest with me but also with yourself. So, let us change the question, what would you do if you were given a second chance?" God asked curiously with a bit of intrigue in his tone, even though he already knew the answer as who would not want a second chance at this game called life?
A second chance to not only change your past but also redefine your future, and do all the things you always wanted. However, never could because you felt you were not adequate, worthy, blessed enough, or even tall enough to ride that ride.
Yet, while crazy to think just what would you do if you were given a second chance at life? A chance that could only change not only your life, but the lives of millions or even billions one day, if only you were just willing to say fuck everybody, and do you?
As God did not call you to people please, live a life of poverty, or seek validation from the world, so what will you be your choice:
a) Life every day as if it were your last with a timer above your head.
b) Keep acting as if you will live until a hundred one day and let time slip past you.
c) Do nothing and just let life be your compass and take you wherever it deems fit.
