Aniya.
Next Day....

Chase pulled in front of the address Logan texted me. His house stood tall but didn't look too big.

"I'll be parked right here at five-thirty." Chase peaked my cheek.

"Okay, bye I love you."

"I love you too."

I got out the car, walking up the small set of steps. I knocked on the door three times hoping they heard it.

"Coming." I heard Logan yell. He opened the door letting me in. "Hi."

"Hi." I smiled at him before turning around and giving Chase a .

Chase drove off just as I walked in. "Hi" a little girl came running down a short hallway.

"Hi, what's your name?" I smiled wide kneeling down to her level.

She was the cutest little thing with the biggest smile, much wider than mine. Her curly brown hair reached the bottom of her back. "Mariah." She wrapped her arms around me, hugging me tight.

"My names Aniya." I laughed at her sudden move. I hugged her back before she pulled away and started jumping up and down, she has a lot of energy. "How old are you?"

"Five." She held out her hand, showing me her five fingers.

"Is she here?" Logan's mom came into the living room. She smiled at me as she held out her hand. "Hi sweetie."

I quickly stood up, grabbing her hand and shaking it. "Hello." I smiled.
I couldn't believe the resemblance in all three of them.
They were such a cute little family.

She gestured for me to follow her as she continued to talk, she looked to be in a rush. "Thank you so much for doing this so last minute."

I swung my hand a little letting her know it was fine. "No problem."

We entered her bedroom "My sitter is so bad at calling out. Usually when she does this, Logan's friend....Rebecca watches Mara, but she's busy." She began to swoop her edges. "Normally for three hours I'd pay two-fifty. But for you I'll do four-hundred." She turned around smiling at me.

"Oh wow, thank you."

She turned back around finishing her hair. "No need to thank me. You're doing me a huge favor."

She stood up walking back into the living room. I followed her into the kitchen. "If she gets hungry, she's not allergic to anything, feel free to whip up whatever. I did feed her dinner so she shouldn't be too hungry." She grabbed her purse. "Again thank you so much."

"Don't mention it." I smiled at her before walking her out.

"Mara come give mommy kiss." She shouted. "Oh.." she turned to me. "Your name?"

"Aniya."

"Lisa."

It was now rolling on five-thirty. Mariah fell asleep about forty-five minutes ago. She was a little character full of energy, I loved babysitting her.

Lisa walked in as I was watching tv on her couch. "Is that your ride outside?"

"Yeah." I suspected she was talking about Chase.

"Okay, good. How was she? I hope she didn't give you too much of a hard time." She began to take off her heels.

"She was an angel, she's an amazing little girl."

She smiled back at me. "Thank you. I'm surprise you got her to go to sleep. Not even her sitter can do that."

I laughed . "She fell right to sleep after I read to her."

She nodded "I'll let her Sitter know that. Thank you." She handed me the four-hundred dollars.

"No problem. Please tell Logan bye for me." I smiled while we walked to the front door.

"I will sweetheart. And you have a goodnight." She gave me a hug.

"You too." I hugged her back. I pulled away walking to Chases car hopping in.

"How was it?" Chase pulled away from the house.

"I had fun. Mariah is so sweet." I smiled.

"It seems like you've gotten really close to his family." He seemed bitter.

"I mean she's a little girl Chase...."

He looked back and forth from the road to me. "I saw you and his mom hugging."

I squinted not knowing what he was getting at. "Okay? She was thanking me." I stared at him for a minute in disbelief. "So first you're jealous of Logan and now it's his baby sister and mother?"

"I'm not jealous, you can be besties with him and his whole family all you want." He smiled.

"Okay, I don't want to fight tonight. I'm tired of fighting. Can we just try to enjoy this dinner, It's going to be awkward enough with your parents."

"I'm sorry my parents aren't like Logan's..."

"....I'm about to tell you to take me home."

The car fell silent which caused him to turn up the radio.

I looked up at the gigantic house in front of me. It looks a bit big to fit a family of only three.

Chase grabbed my hand, leading us up the stairway. We walked in the house, which was just as beautiful as the outside.
"MOM!" Chase yelled as soon as we entered.

"Chase." She came out of nowhere, pulling her son into a hug. "Aniya." She smiled pulling me in too.

I smiled hugging her back. "Hey Maryanne." I love Chase's mom. She was the sweetest human being I've ever met.

I can't lie my heart was beating a mile a minute. I don't know if I'm ready to face Chases father but here goes nothing.

"Is my son here?" Chases father yelled as he walked up behind his wife.

"Chase." He pulled him into a hug. I smiled awkwardly not knowing where to stand.

"Aniya." He smiled at me. "How are you my dear?"

I smiled back at him trying to hold eye contact. "I'm well, and yourself?"

"Fabulous." He seemed really calm, too calm maybe? I didn't want to bring that negative energy, so I disregarded that thought. It was probably all in my own head.

"Okay, dinner is ready. Let's eat." Maryanne chirped.

We all walked to the dining room, the only person talking was Chase's mom. We sat down filling the table.

Everyone grabbed plates filling theirs with food. Chase decided to make mine, filling my plate with the food I like. Mr. Ritz watched as Chase placed my plate down in-front of me.

"Thank you." I mumbled to Chase.
He kissed my cheek, before making his own plate.
