ardor city, new mexico, was built at the edge of the vast desert in new mexico. sitting at the bottom of the state, it is landlocked by texas to the east, the mexico border to the south, arizona to the west, and santa fe to the north. at its wonder and magnificence in leading-edge wonder is often overshadowed by its backdrop of pristine skies.
common architectural designs are buildings built with lots of glass and light elements to mimic the aesthetics of the blue skies surrounding them. the skyline is littered with giant skyscrapers, and each one has been designed to adorn the other.
technology and scientific advances have made the town what it is today, attracting the attention of primarily geneticists who have since called the city their home. it's also because of the influx of geneticists that the city has found themselves struggling with a problem with enhanced individuals-or metahumans-running around and causing chaos. the crime in the city has never been higher with some metahumans conducting major drug operations thanks to the easy access to the border.
because they're not far from the mexico border, ardor city has a lot of mexican and hispanic influence, making it apart of the city's identity. what was once historically a small town of little contrast has now grown into a fusion of mexican, hispanic, and american identities, and this is what continues to unite the sixty million people that currently live in ardor city. this multicultural identity has truly left his mark with hundreds of cafes, diners, and clubs offering a plethora of culinary choices. recreational venues litter the city, creating a perfect atmosphere for most people to call home-that is, if you can tolerate the criminal violence.
