Also, my friends say I'm stuck in 2014 based on my playlists. If you do check my playlists out, can you either confirm or deny that statement? Thanks. Image above is not mine and was screenshot fed from another book, credit to the author.

Penny woke the next morning and was pleasantly surprised when the doorbell rang. She quickly put on a hoodie and opened the door in her pajama pants. Standing on the porch was a tall, lanky teen with fluffy blonde hair and ocean eyes.

Penny stared at him a moment longer before regaining her senses. She smiled and stepped back, opening the door wider to allow him to enter into the foyer. He smiled back at her. She couldn't help admiring his smile.

"Hi, im Penny." She introduced, holding her hand out for a shake. He smiled a bit wider. "Thomas." He shook her hand. The contact brought a (figurative) spark that both of them felt even though it wasn't actually there.

(Why does this fit the vibe of unholy, like I'm listening to it rn while writing this-) Penny had a feeling she'd be seeing a lot more of this boy. "Not to sound rude, as I do enjoy you coming over to visit, but is there any specific reason you came over here?" Penny asked.

Thomas shrugged. "Was interested in meeting the new neighbor. We don't have new people move in often. Besides, my mum kinda made me, anyways." He laughed.

"Wow, glad to know I'm wanted." Penny joked. Thomas must have not heard her teasing tone and instantly became flustered. "I-I didn't mean it like that, I just-" Penny put her hand up and he stopped.

"I was joking, silly. Did you not catch my tone?" Penny Said. Thomas breathed a sigh of relief. "Empty house. Did your furniture not arrive yet?" He asked, trying to change the topic. "Yeah, it'll take a month for my stuff to be shipped from Ohio." Penny replied.

"Oh, so that's why you don't have a British accent!" Tommy exclaimed. "Mhm...? Anyways, do you stream? I might need to use your PC if I ever need to do a good-quality stream." Penny questioned.

"Yes. I'm actually a pretty big streamer, but I'm not giving you my user in case you decide to use me for clout." He teased. Penny laughed. "Can't be too hard, I just have to look for an attractive Brit." Penny said.

Realizing what she'd just said, she turned blushed. Thomas was blushing too, but smiled. "Oh is that so, Ms.Penny~" he flirted. Or so penny thought. Maybe he was just teasing? She couldn't be sure.

Before she could reply, his mum came through the front door and introduced herself. She apologised that her husband couldn't come, since he was at work, and Penny just smiled and assured Mrs. Simons that all was good.

The two left soon, leaving Penny to wonder what would become of her and that blonde haired Brit. She hoped something would happen.
