--------------------------(Tommy third person pov)---------------------

"But, Wil, there's no way she actually likes me back." Tommy whined. 

He was on a Discord call with Wilbur, finally admitting his feelings for his best-friend neighbor. It felt like he was taking a massive weight off his chest, but replacing the weight were butterflies just from talking about Penny. If Wilbur and him had had their cameras on, Wilbur would've noticed the light that shone in Tommy's eyes when he spoke of her and the way he smiled nonstop.

"Tommy, you're speaking actual bullshit. Just yesterday she, Tubbo, and I were playing Minecraft together and she wouldn't shut up about you. While it was cute, it was also very annoying. Is that enough proof for you?" Wilbur rebutted.

"I didn't know that." Tommy's smiled widened a bit.

"I can hear you smiling from my mic, simp." Wilbur smiled.

"No idea what you're talking about."

(Penny pov)

My phone buzzed while I was reading a Wattpad book. I checked notifications. Shit. My food in my bakery game had spoiled yet again. (THIS IS ME IRL TOO THO.) I also saw a text from an unknown number.

xxx-xxx-xxx: Hey, this is Ben. My parents wanted us to take a trip back to my hometown and I wanted to see you! They got in contact with your parents and I got your number.

Penny: OMG HI BEN IT'S BEEN SO LONG!!!! HOW'S LIFE BEEN!

Ben: Good! My boyfriend was a little sad I was leaving him, but it's only for a month so he'll be okay.

Penny: I'm glad you've finally moved on from Mellisa.

Mellisa was Ben's ex. She had been extremely toxic and abusive. She'd made Ben insecure about his weight to the point where he passed out from starvation. He'd been immediately taken to the Hospital where he got better and went to therapy. When he finally came home, he then promptly broke up with Mellisa and even got a restraining order. He hasn't dated since, but declared himself gay a year later.

Ben: Yeah. Wanna meet up at the coffee shop down the street from your house tomorrow at, like, three? I'll pay.

Penny: You've tempted me sooooo...sure.

Ben: It'll be great to see you again, Pen!

Penny: It'll be great to see you again too, Ben!

------------------------------------------(Time skip to a day later at like 12 bc I'm lazyyyyy)-----------

"Who's that you've been texting so much?" Tommy asked, nosily trying to read Penny's texts over her shoulder. Penny turned her phone off and turned to him.

"Ben. We were friends for five years, but then he moved away and now he's coming back for a month and wanted to meet up." Penny said, smiling.

"Oh. Sounds like fun." Tommy said nonchalantly, trying to mask his jealousy. He suddenly hated Ben.

Thank god he'd admitted to himself he liked Penny, nobody likes an Adrien Aguste. (Or however the hell you spell it.)

"Aweeeee is widdle tom-tom jealous~" Penny teased, instantly recognizing the slight bitterness in his voice. 

Tommy blushed slightly. "NO!" he defended.

"Don't worry, Tom, he's been gay for like a couple years now." Penny chided slightly.

Tommy's heart lifted.

"I'm not jealous. Good for him." But inside, Tommy was glad he didn't have to worry about Ben. He suddenly didn't hate him, either.
