After a few minutes, Tommy helped Penny up and they walked together, shakily for Penny, toward the exit, completely forgetting why they'd come there in the first place. Tommy helped Penny into the car and they drove in silence back to their houses. Tommy kept stealing glances back over to Penny, as he was worried about her. She still looked pretty upset, so Tommy reached over with his free hand and grabbed her clammy one.

The gesture made Penny look up at him and give a weak smile. This made Tommy smile, too, making her happy again. They made it to their houses, both reluctantly exiting the car, not wanting to leave the comfort of the other. Penny, who really didn;'t want to be alone, made the first move.

"T-tommy?" she stuttered. Tommy immediately looked over at her. "C-can you spend the night w-with me? I really don't want to be alone." Penny finished. She wasn't stuttering because she was nervous about asking, she was still all nerves from the incident earlier. "Yeah, of course, Pen!" Tommy said, grabbing her hand and smiling at her reassuringly. Penny's heart warmed and she couldn't stop herself from saying ""I swear, Tommy, you're the best person ever. I would fucking die for you, adorable idiot."

Hearing those words, Tommy blushed slightly, smiled, and whispered "No, Pen, I'm just doing this because I care so, so much about you. You literally deserve so much better than what happened." 

Both teens smiled like idiots as they climbed in thru Penny's window and fell asleep together.

-----------------(Morning time skip)---------------

Tommy's eyes blinked open, taking a second to register where he was and why his ceiling suddenly had glow-in-the-dark stars on it. (A/N: Shut up, glow-in-the-dark stars are fucking amazing.) The events from last night flooded back into his mind, and he instinctively turned to Penny to see if she was alright. His eyes widened and sparkled, as they had when he'd first met her, at how fucking beautiful she looked in the dim morning sunlight shining in thru the thick curtains. Her hair sparkled stunningly and her eyes fluttered softly as she slept and she looked so peaceful and innocent. A fond smile had unknowingly grown on his face as he observed her, and he came to an internal resolution:

God, I fucking lover her so much.

A/N: Thoughts? Cute chapter to contradict the recent angst. I know the chapters have been shorter recently, but I've just not had much motivation or time to sit down and write a long-ass chapter, so enjoy two short ones instead. I'm so so so so sorry for forgetting to remind you to take care of yourself in the last chapter.
