Chapter Thirty

"Where were you this morning?" Jennie asks as soon as I sit down at the lunch table.

I am about to give out a sarcastic comment but her serious expression makes the sentence die at my tongue. I frown at her, "I was talking with Jungkook." I say.

"Yes, I got that part when you both showed up late. Why were you with him?" She scowls and I smirk, realising that she's jealous.

I lean down and kiss her cheeks, "Jealousy is my least favourite look on you."

She shakes her head at me, "I am serious, Lisa."

I sigh, "We were talking Jane, and quit the possessive act, I don't like it." I warn her and she eyes me for a moment before focusing back on her soda.

Under the table, I take her hand in mine and she sighs but doesn't say anything. Does she still have a problem if I touch her? Shit, I didn't think about that. I am about to retract my hand back to myself but she tugs at it, and when I look up at her, she's saying something and when I follow her gaze, it lands on Jungkook.

"So, Jennie, how is Yeri?" Jimin asks before I can even comprehend what were Jungkook and Jennie talking about.
But then I focus my glare on Jimin who's wearing a smug look on his face. I notice that Jennie is also glaring at him while everyone else just looks amused, except Jungkook. Even Tzuyu finds it funny.

"Fuck off, Park." Jennie says.

"What? It's an innocent question." Jisoo pipes in and I glare at her.

"Don't." I warn her, causing her to laugh.

"Okay seriously though, how did this happen? I want minute to minute detail." Rosé says and I look at Jennie and she gives me a knowing nod.

"Alright then kids, let me teach you how to swap saliva with someone." I begin and almost immediately everyone groans.

"What's wrong with you? You are killing the fun." Jimin protests.

"If you don't shut up, I'll kill you." Jennie tells him.

"Question time, buddy. Lisa or me?" Jimin asks and I laugh.

"You, obviously jerk! Best friend comes first." I say.

"So does that mean between Jennie and Jungkook, you would choose Jungkook?" Tzuyu asks and Jennie immediately let go of my hand.

I gape at her, almost shocked that she even asked that question. What's wrong with her? I try to reach for Jennie but she silently shakes her head at me, as if telling me to just let it be. Then gives me a small encouraging smile, as if telling me to choose Jungkook.

But I cannot choose! It's an unfair question.

"Jisoo. I'll choose jisoo." I give out a sarcastic reply and rosé and Jimin laugh but Jungkook just stares at me, a small smile on his features as if he knows why I didn't answer the question - he knows I don't pick between people. That's not me.

"What about between Jisoo and Jungkook?" Rosé asks.

"I'll choose myself." I laugh and both of them roll their eyes at me, "Come on, I am the best best friend anyone has ever had."

"That's called being self obsessed, Lisa." Jennie says and I give her a look.

"You're one to talk."

She gives me a confused look, "What did I do?"

"'I like you.' 'I know.' Great talk, by the way." I give her a sarcastic smile and Jimin laughs.

"Why am I not even surprised?" He says out aloud.
