Chapter 22. A Steamy Night of Surprises

Tee knew Tae had forgotten his own birthday. His friends were laughing at him being clueless but Tee had stopped them to say anything before lunch. He had planned a little surprise for his forgetful boyfriend who would remember each and everything but his birthday.

Tae was waiting for him on lunch as he was hungry but Tee was no where to be seen. He checked for any message but none. He sat on his chair with puffed cheeks. Seems like he had to have his lunch alone. Everyone in the cafe was silent to see their head hazer in a bad mood. And it was so normal that Tae didnt notice the chatter dying around him.

"And you thought i will not come? How wouldnt i when its your birthday". He snapped his head up. Nothing cheesy, nothing sugar coated. Tee standing by his side with a little cake on the table.

"Tee....". His eyes shone more than those candles lit on the cake.

"Happy Birthday my Love. My forgetful boyfriend. Now make a wish and blow the candles". Tee kissed his forehead with love. Their friends were cheering as Tae blew the candles and cut the cake with pink dust on his cheeks. Tee fed him followed by Tae and it was distributed among his friends and they had a scrumptious lunch.

"I will be going now. See you at home. You gift will be waiting". Tee whispered in his ears and surely he didnt miss that dark in those brown piercing eyes. He giggled kissing Tae on lips and ran out to go to his lab work. Tae followed him with a loving gaze and turned back to his friends, although his mind was occupied with all the possible gifts from Tee, but he had no idea so he kept those images aside.

Tee was still smiling as he entered the lab. They had to disect a human leg on a dead body sample. A detailed work of precision and care. They had to be very careful with scrubs and scalpels. Tee took his gloves and mask, and surgical instruments. They were working one person per table to focus and understand. If it was anything in the past, he would be sulking at working alone but it didnt bother him at this time until he heard a faint hiss at his left.

On an instance he dashed to the table where Thanitt was holding his finger with blood oozing. Copter had already ran to the infirmary to get bandage while Tee held his hand and took him to the sink in one corner. He ran cold water and put Thanitt's hand under it, who was hissing through clenched teeth.

"Here its done. But we have to go to infirmary to get it stitched. Lets go". Thanitt saw how worried Tee was. Just like old times, he let Tee drag him down the hallway and asked the nurse to get it stitched. "You should have been a little more attentive Thanitt. Thanks god its not that deep. Still 2 stitches. And another good thing, its your left hand. It wont disturb your routine". Tee was saying watching the nurse finished stitching his wound.

"Tee.. I..". Thanitt tried to say anything but the lump in his throat didnt let him. He blinked his eyes to clear the mist. Tee looked at him and sighed. The nurse had gone back to her station and he didnt know where Copter went. He had not seen him since he left the lab. 

"I am sorry Tee. I am sorry for everything i did to you. I was so blinded by my obsession that i didnt care about you. I didnt think that i was hurting you so bad. Copter is right, it wasnt love. I took you all for myself without thinking about your feelings and i am so regretting.

Please forgive me Tee. I will never meddle in your personal life but this guilt isnt letting me sleep at night. I will forever be grateful to Copter for standing with me to hold me. But, i cannot forget your tears that were shed on that night and i was the reason. I dont want anything but your forgiveness Tee. Please". Thanitt clasped his hands together with tears flowing off his eyes. Tee saw his eyes and his clasped hands. He held Thanitt's hands, unclasping them gently.
