note : ok so i love jungkook so here's a one shot about him for the holidays :) dedicated to floressss22xxx who is the one that made me love jungkook😛
also this is slightly inspired by some christmas movie i watched with my mum mixed with some other things i've seen about renting a girlfriend and such. i mean, i guess it's a rather known concept and i gave my own spin at it :)

"tsk, "oh, you should get a girlfriend, 'cause the holidays are on the way!" can they shut it? i will get with someone when i want to, not because they tell me i should!"
jungkook kicks against a small rock that's on the ground with anger, his eyebrows furrowed, and his hands in the pockets of his jacket.
it's a beautiful december night, and whenever you breathe out, you see how cold it is. but somehow that doesn't bother the dark haired male, jeon jungkook, who's only wearing a t-shirt, and has his jacket open as he walks through the streets of seoul.
the male sighs and stands still, looking at the beautiful christmas decorations around him. he doesn't get why it's such a big deal that he doesn't have someone for the holidays?
his parents bother him with it, because his brother has someone that he's bringing home for christmas, but he doesn't, so then it's a problem. and his parents aren't the only ones, because his band members seem to be doing the same thing. they constantly ask him when he's going to find someone.
well, not this year.
jungkook sighs and starts walking again, slowly getting closer to the city centre.
maybe he'll just get a drink somewhere and get his worries away for a little bit. what else is he supposed to do?
as he's about to cross the road, his eyes land on a poster.
RENT A PARTNER

jungkook widens his eyes. that's just what he needs! maybe not the best solution, but at least everyone's gonna be silent about it.
jungkook takes his phone and goes to his email, putting in the adress. he says his name, age, every other information they might need, and then thinks to himself.
what does he need in a partner?
he thinks, looking at the ground beneath his feet. well, he's twenty-five himself, so ideally his partner would be around that age as well. religion doesn't really matter, but seoul would be easy for him. and they need to be extraverted probably because there's loads of people that they're gonna meet.
the male nods to himself and types in his "ideal" partner. from seoul, between 20-25 years old, and extraverted.
the male nods and sends the email, then continuing his walk towards the city centre with a smile around his face.
damn, what an amazing idea.

"this was a terrible idea," jungkook mumbles as he looks at the email in his inbox. there's a match for him.
he sighs and opens the email, seeing the name of his partner and an email and phone number. he bites his lip, "alright, here goes nothing."
jungkook grabs his phone and dials the number, hoping the person is awake at this late hour, since he just got back from some drinks at the bar, and is now walking back home.
the person at the other side picks up their phone, "hello?" he hears a soft voice from the other side of the line. "can i help you?"
"um–" jungkook starts, but facepalms himself as he notices what he's doing.
"did you sign up for this rent a partner thing?"
you, the person on the other side of the line, start to get a smile around your face. "oh, yeah, i did, actually... are we partnered up?"
jungkook nods, but realises you can't see him. "yes, yes we are. uh... my name's jeon jungkook. nice to meet you, i guess. i'm twenty-five years old, male, and i'm from seoul. you've got loads of family and friends of mine to meet."
you chuckle. "nice to meet you, jungkook. my name is l/n y/n, female. i'm twenty-three years old and also from seoul! i'd love to meet my new family in law, and can't wait to be your holiday girlfriend. are you ready to meet my family, too?"
"oi! this is a two way thing?"
"pretty much," you say with a nod. "i did sign up a few weeks back because there are two ways you can do it, but there wasn't anyone i liked. you seem cool."
jungkook nods. "alright. so... what do we do now?"
"i've got this work thing i need to attend tomorrow evening, and i kinda told this guy and other coworkers that i wasn't interested in him because i have a boyfriend. are you down to go there together?"
"definitely," jungkook answers, nodding. "i'll be there. just text me everything, details, where we meet up, if i should wear something fancy or not."
you chuckle, "deal. good night, jungkook."
he smiles, him looking into the sky. "good night, y/n."
and with that, you hang up the phone.
and jungkook couldn't be happier, because his plan somehow seems to work out just fine.
