"i can't believe we came such a long way."
denki turns towards you, a smile around his lips. "we're finally in our third year. so many things went wrong, so many villains we have fought... it truly is something, isn't it?"
you smile and turn towards your best friend, nodding your head at his words.
"yeah, we're almost pro heroes... isn't that crazy? we can... be heroes. we can save people, we can start our own agencies, we can work at existing agencies... we can do so much more than being students."
you sigh and lean back, your feet dangling from the rooftop of the 3-a alliance. you look up at the sky to see the stars.
"it really is crazy. i can't believe we almost didn't make it, but yet here we are... in a world still so shit, but better than it was."
"crime never stops, does it?"
"not really, no."
you sigh and move your head. then you look up and move your hand in the air.
"it's really bright tonight. i hope it's not going away because of all the fireworks later."
"the new year's fireworks?"
you nod, "yeah. i hope it's still clear so i can look at the stars all night. i love the stars."
"don't you want to come?"
denki turns his head towards you. "i thought we were going with the whole class."
"i don't really feel like going. it's not that fun for me."
"oh..." denki mumbles, looking away from you and staring into the distance. he really wanted you there, so it's a shame you don't want to join.
"do you want me to come?"
denki humms a "yes". he nods his head and bites his lip. "of course i want you there."
you sigh, "alright. if you want me there, i'll join you guys. will you watch the stars with me later, then?"
"of course, y/n. you know i'll always watch the stars with you."
denki has no idea why stars fascinate you so much, but whenever you have the chance, you'll climb on the rooftop and look at the sky.
tonight is a really good night to look at the stars since it's really bright out. you can see every star, especially your favourite constellations, which is a huge plus.
