Gray | Anakin Skywalker

Chapter Five

Finally our ship landed on Naboo out in the lake country. I could feel the life this planet had flowing through me. I stood from the place I was sat and stretched my stiff muscles giving a yawn.

"I'm so glad to be home!" Padmé gushed a smile spreading across her face.

I could feel her happiness radiating off of her like the warm sunshine on a summer's day. Her happiness was infectious and a smile too began to spread on my face. I could feel Anakin's eyes on me and I suddenly became self conscious.

"Lets get you safely inside" Anakin said picking up Padmé's bags.

As we got off the ship and into fresh air my senses began to burst to life. I could feel every living thing around me and it filled me with a sense of tranquility. Before I knew it a soft, absentminded smile was being worn on my face.

"You sure look happy" Anakin observed his voice soft.

"The force is strong here, It makes me feel at peace". I said the smile never leaving my face.

"You look radiant when you smile" he said like it was the easiest thing ever.

I elbowed him in the ribs and rolled my eyes in disbelief.

"Oh shut it Skyguy, you're just messing with me" I said and walked further ahead of him.

As we made our way inside Anakin set Padmé's bags down with a gasp at how beautiful the building was.

"Welcome to my home" Padmé beamed, "Please, make yourselves at home" she said relieved to be back to a familiar place.

I sighed wishing I could see the beauty of this place for myself, I can only assume how breath taking it is.

I drifted along through the building eventually finding myself outside in the gardens. I ran my fingers across the flowers basking in their soft feel. I walked further and found a nice shaded area under a tree and sat down crossing my legs and closing my eyes leaning my back against the rough bark. I inhaled and felt the force rush through me, every cell in my body coming to life simultaneously. My limbs started to tingle as I became more attune to my surroundings. I sensed his presence before I heard his footsteps.

"Must you always interrupt my peace, Skywalker" I said my eyes still shut in an attempt to retain the peace the force brought me.

"It's only natural I do" he smirked causing me to roll my eyes.

"Don't you have better things to be doing?" I questioned my eyes snapping open.

Anakin raised his hands in defense.

"I only came to talk" he replied catching my attention.

"Ok... Then talk" I said offering my full attention.

"Look I want to apologize for the way I've treated you in the past you didn't deserve it and I think for the sake of this mission and other missions to come we should at least try and get along" he said becoming a little flustered at the end.

I raised an eyebrow and tilted my head doubt crossing my face.

"You're serious?" I said simply.

Anakin nodded and I could feel his sincerity through the force.

"Ok, you're right we should try and get along" I spoke still feeling doubtful.

I could feel Anakin wanted to say something but he held his tongue.

Padmé emerged from the house in her swimsuit carrying one yellow, one blue, and one purple towel.
