Chapter Thirteen

I stood in front of the council, Anakin and Obi Wan standing next to me. The council was giving us the run down of our next mission.

"Skywalker, Zephyr you are to go find Dooku. His supposed last known location is on a separatist frigate in the outer rim territory" Mace Windu says giving as little information as ever.

I raise an eyebrow at him.

"With all due respect master, but what do you expect us to do with such little information?" I asked tilting my head.

I heard Anakin snicker beside me causing me to elbow him and mouth, "I'm serious" at him. This caused him to throw his hands up in mock defense.

"You two will be captured on purpose in order to confirm whether or not Dooku is really aboard that ship" Windu replied his tone not at all amused with the two of us.

I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose in slight frustration.

"Why do we both have to be captured, why can't Anakin be captured and I save his sorry ass as per usual?" I questioned.

"Anala watch your language" My master scolded causing me to give an apologetic sheepish look towards him.

At my remark Anakin elbowed me rolling his eyes.

"You do not always save me" he said exasperated.

"Last time I checked, I do" I said crossing my arms.

Anakin went to argue but was interrupted by Yoda.

"Planned it this way for a reason, we have. Argue you will not" Yoda stated firmly.

Anakin and I nodded not wanting to argue with the wise old alien.

"Good, leave immediately you must" Yoda said dismissing us.

We bowed and left Obi Wan close on our heels.

"Don't worry you two, I'll be saving your “sorry asses”" He chuckled quoting me, "Oh, and you wont be able to have your light sabers" He added.

I grumbled unclipping my lightsabers from my belt handing them over, Anakin copying my actions.

"This is ridiculous" I said.

"Its necessary, now get going" Obi Wan replied, "You're strong enough in the force you'll be fine, Anakin on the other hand I'm not to sure about" He smirked waving us away before Anakin could argue.

"That wasn't funny" Anakin said grumpily as a chuckle rolled from my lips.

"You're right, it wasn't funny" I said with a straight face, "It was hilarious" I laughed a smile cracking through my facade.

Anakin rolled his eyes but ultimately began smiling along with me as we walked towards our ship.

When we came out of hyperspace we were greeted by a lone frigate.

"Well... That was easier to find than I thought it would be" I remarked with an eyebrow raised.

"Well that's because you have an expert pilot as your guide" Anakin mused his signature smirk plastered on his face.

"Really? Where is he, I dont see him" I deadpanned looking over Anakin's shoulder like I'm looking for someone else.

Anakin rolled his eyes and playfully punched my shoulder causing me to smirk.

"Let's get this over with..." I said, hating the idea of purposefully getting captured.

As Anakin piloted the ship to the docking bay I could feel the force signature of Dooku.

"At least we know he's here.." I muttered pinching the bridge of my nose while shaking my head.

We boarded the frigate side by side and began to make our way through the seemingly empty halls.

"Anakin, does this place seem almost... Too quiet to you?" I questioned as my white eyes scanned the hall we were standing in.

"Maybe it's just actually empty and Dooku isn't here and the council was wrong?" Anakin questioned.

"Or your "expert piloting" brought us to the wrong ship" I stated looking Anakin in the eyes. His beautiful sapphire blue eyes stared back into mine and for a second the rest of the world faded away.

"-funny" was the only part of Anakin's statement I actually heard.

"Huh?" I asked coming back to reality.

A smirk grew on Anakin's face as he realized I hadn't been listening.

"Am I just so beautiful that you were imagining all the things you'd like to do to me?" Anakin practically purred.

"No, I was thinking about how badly I wished you'd shut up" I smirked in hopes of hiding the blush that was growing on my cheeks.

"I'm sure you were" Anakin raised an eyebrow sceptically.

I simply smiled innocently at him before a clatter down the hall made my head snap in that direction.

"Well, we're definitely not alone that's for sure" I sighed in exasperation before walking down the hall towards the direction of the noise, Anakin hot on my heels.

When we rounded the corner we came face to face with a group of battle droids, their guns pointed at us.

"Halt Jedi!" The battle droid commander yelled in his laughable robot voice.

"Roger roger" I said holding my hands up in the air in surrender.

"Roger roger, really?" Anakin looked at me and asked holding his hands up as well.

"What? It was funnier in my head" I said sheepishly as the battle droids surrounded us and started walking us to what I assume to be our cell. Anakin simply shook his head with a small smile on his face.

"At least we know Dooku is here?" I chuckled.

"Yeah, now we wait for Obi Wan to valiantly rescue us" Anakin sighed as the door to our cell shut.

I shook my head and sat down on the cell floor closing my eyes and attempting to meditate. Anakin on the other hand had a different idea. I felt Anakin pushing me lightly with the force attempting to break my concentration. I stayed strong and kept my eyes closed feeling myself sinking into the force around me. Anakin was relentless though and with a flick of my wrist I sent Anakin flying into a far wall, a smirk spreading across my face.

"I can't stand you" I said my eyes still shut.

"I know" Anakin groaned rubbing his head.

I chuckled softly enjoying Anakin's company a little more than I should.
