"Okay everyone! Huddle, Huddle! We're going to the aquarium so behave please." Mrs. Winder declared. Even I already knew that this was gonna be stupid.
"So we are gonna partner up, please choose your partners wisely!!" I was gonna ask Mayliee, but she already chose Oliver.
"Hey Gabriel! Wanna be partners?" Gabriel looked at me like I just killed someone. He looked at me like I was a freak.
"Sorry but Levi already asked me...And plus, you're kinda..." I look at him, waiting for his answer.
"I'm kinda what." I say, frustrated. He puts his hand on the back of his neck, nervous. "You're just plain, you know?"
"Oh." Oh is probably all I can make out right now.
"Anyway, Bye." Gabriel says, walking away from me and going to Levi. Great. I'm alone.
I just sit down in the back of the classroom, like a depressed kid, Wow, I must be desperate.
"Hey you." I hear someone call out from above me. I look up. A boy with brownish, orangish, blondish, I don't even know to be honest.
"Hello? Earth to Stranger?" The boy waves his hand in my face, and I snap back into reality.
"Oh uh sorry." I say, looking up at the boy's face.
"It's fine." I look at him confused. "What do you want, boy I just met out of nowhere?" I say sarcastically.
"You know, being sarcastic is really ru-" "Hold on, ginger ass." He looks at me, widened eyes.
"Wow I didn't know that you swore..." I start to think that he's gonna hate me for dear life.
"You're pretty cool." I shot up as soon as I heard those words, although he looked confused. I get nervous, feeling like I just embarrassed myself in front of a boy.
"Sorry- It's just nobody has ever called me "cool" before." He smiles at me, kneeling down to match my height as i'm sitting down.
"Would you like to be my partner?" He says, waiting for an answer.
"Oh- uh- i'd love to." I smile back at him, and he takes out his hand.
I take his hand and stand up. I look at the boy for a bit, and I take my hand off his quickly.
"What's your name?" I ask him. He got distracted but then looked back at me and smiled again.
"Oh i'm Paul. Paul Graff." I shake his hand. "Well nice to meet you, Mr. Graff." He laughs at the fanciness I put in his name.
"Nice to meet you too..." He looks at me as he shakes my hand slower, I get the hint pretty easily.
"Oh i'm Ellora, But you can call me whatever. I don't mind." I say, smiling. He smiles back.
"My parents put me in this school becau-" Mrs. Winder interrupted Paul. "Excuse me. The principal would like to see you both." I shrug.
"Please go to the principal's office." She says, disgusted for some weird reason.
We walk together to the principal's office, laughing and talking. We go in front of the office and knock on the door.
"Come in." The principal says. What even is the principal's name...
We enter the room, seeing the guidance counselor, a kid that was beaten up and the kid's dad.
