(Ashley)
I rolled over in bed and got a mouth full of hair. I opened my eyes and removed Georgia's hair from my face. She was still asleep and looked pretty cute. I moved a piece of hair off of her cheek; I tried to be subtle but I saw her eyes slowly open.
"Oh sorry, did I wake you up," I asked.
"No, don't worry babe," Georgia said and gave me a sleepy smile while stretching.
I checked the time and it was close to ten. We had to take all of her things to our place today. I remembered how her mom treated her yesterday. I can only imagine how bad that must have hurt.
"Ready to go home Peaches," I asked after a moment of silence.
"Yeah let's get ready."
I put on my clothes from yesterday while Georgia found some clothes from her old room. I wanted to stay in the room and watch her, as creepy as that sounds, but I reluctantly left.
I walked down stairs and found her dad in the kitchen with a pot of coffee in his hand. He held a mug up to me and I gladly took it. I took a drink and sat down on a bar stool.
"Morning Ashley, sleep well last night?"
"Yeah, thanks," I said with a bit of caution.
Then an awkward silence filled the room as we both drank our coffee.
"I wanted to thank you for taking care of my baby. She deserves the best, and I'm glad that it can be you", he said with a sincere tone to his voice.
"Oh no problem Brian. Your daughter has been one of the best things to happen to me," I replied as Georgia entered the kitchen. She had white short shorts on and a black tank top with a plaid shirt over it.
"Your the best thing to happen to me too Ash," Georgia said and kissed my cheek. "Well dad, we gotta leave soon in order to get back and unpack."
"That's ok sweetie. I'm just glad you came to see me," her father said while hugging his daughter. "I'm just sorry you had to gr-"
"Dad the past is in the past. So let's move on and start over," Georgia quickly said.
We made our way towards the door. Georgia slipped her shoes on and I did the same. The three of us walked outside onto the front porch. I gave her father a hand shake. Then Georgia gave him another hug.
"Keep in touch," he said as we walked to the car.
"Ok love you Georgia."
"Love you too daddy!"
We got in the car and I started her up. I pulled out of the drive way and took off down the road. Out of the corner of my eyes I could see thoughts swimming through Peach's mind. I took her hand in mine and brought it up to my lips to gently kiss it. "You know you can tell me anything, right?"
"Yeah I know babe. It's just..."
"You don't have to tell me right now if you don't want to," I began.
"No you deserve to know. Its just everything my mom said to me. How she said I was 'useless' and called me all of those things."
I saw tears well up in her eyes. It pained me to know how much she was hurting. If I wasn't driving, I would do anything to make her feel better.
"Georgia you are an amazing girl. You are beautiful on the inside and out. You are talented and know what you want out of life. Some times I wonder how I got so lucky."
I look over at her and wipe away a few tears that have fallen.
"No your the amazing one Ash. I'm just some nobody girl, who happened to fall in love with a rockstar," she said quietly with more tears falling.
