For once in my life I was in a decent mood when my alarm went off. I got out of bed and took a long and hot shower. Once I got out I checked the weather to make sure I wore the appropriate clothing for the day. It was going to be sunny all weekend, until Sunday anyway. I put on a black lace BVB shirt that I had made and some dark capris. I dried and curled my hair then put it into a high ponytail. I grabbed my prepackaged bag and went for my car. Today was going to be awesome!
I applied my makeup and piercings, then turned my Pandora on in my car. I left the house with a note in the counter reminding my mother where I had gone. My agenda consisted of a college class this morning then getting to the bus, Saturday was the concert, and I would just hang out Sunday and go home Monday. This is going to be the best weekend ever!
I got to my class and left once it was done. It seemed to take five times longer than usual. As soon as it was done I grabbed my assignment and ran to my car. I literally ran too. I may have gotten some confused looks, but would you really blame me?
I got in and started the drive across Salt Lake to the venue. Traffics was pretty slow so I decided to tell Jinxx I was on my way. I know no texting and driving, but traffic was at a stand still. So technically I was sitting in traffics texting, and there isn't a law about that.
'Hey I'm on my way! :)'
Not even a minute later I got a response. 'Awesome, can't wait to see you. What time will you get here?'
'Probably in an hour or two with how traffic is moving :('
I put my phone down as the car ahead of me slowly moved ahead. The car horns going off were driving me crazy, so I turned up my music. I stopped yet again and checked my phone.
'YOU ARE TEXTING AND DRIVING?! You better not be doing that.'
I only smiled at his protectiveness over me. I then began to think about Jinxx. Like how his blue eyes were always trying to decipher me, and how I felt safe with him. He made me feel like I actually belong some where in this odd and twisted world we live in. He also acted like he had never seen my psoriasis, it relieved me that I wasn't immediately judged for once. Gees this is becoming a habit, gotta stop thinking about Jinxx.
I drove forward a little bit then stopped again. Then I responded to his text. 'No I'm only texting you when I'm stopped and waiting for traffic to move. Ttyl' I put my phone away and waited for traffic to move.
After a while I finally got to where the guys were. I parked my car and grabbed my bag. Then I walked up to the bus that had 'BLACK VEIL BRIDES' on it in bold black font. before I could even knock on the door, it opened with a blast of cool air following it. I looked up and saw Jinxx. He smiled down at me and moved out of the way so I could get on.
I closed the door behind me as I came up the steps. I looked around to see an empty bus, except for the fact that I was on it with Jinxx.
"Welcome to our humble abode," Jinxx said while bowing down to do a curtsy like motion. I just laughed and shook my head. "Now Peaches just follow me." Jinxx grabbed my bag and started to walk back.
Jinxx led me back to where the bunks were. He moved a curtain aside and there my bags in it. "Here you are Peaches."
"Thanks. So where are all of the guys?" I looked around as I asked.
"They went to go get food and stuff."
I began to walk back out to the main area and took one of the black leather couches. I flopped down, making myself comfortable. Jinxx moved my feet and say done next to me, then he put my feet on his lap.
"So what do you want to do now?" I looked at him and thought about options.
"I don't know, have any board games?"
Jinxx got up and went to the back of the bus. After a couple of minutes he came back with Monopoly and Connect Four. I sat up and grabbed the Connect Four and dumped it in the floor. I moved to the floor and began to set up the game.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Jinxx with an amused look in his eyes. "What?" I asked while trying not to blush. Why was I suddenly becoming more self conscious around Jinxx?
"If anyone saw you right now, they wouldn't know you were a senior in high school."
"Thanks, Jinxxy," I replied in I higher pitched voice while rolling my eyes,"So what color do you want to be?"
He went for the red and I got the black. Being the gentleman than Jinxx is, he let me have the first turn. Little did he know how competitive I was. By the time we had finished we had played a total of 15 games. I win at least ten of them.
I celebrated with a little victory dance. Just as I sat back down I heard the door open and the hot dessert air came in the bus followed by four voices. I froze in my spot and slowly turned around. As I turned around my inner fangirl had immediately gone over board.
