Vaeludar lost how many times his wings lifted his body into the air. Many times, his feet was lifted and many times his wings carried him against the crushing weight of gravity. Above it all, his carried his body's weight that weighed thrice as heavy as the ordinary human. He was as heavy as a war horse, and still he managed to drag the heaviness of his body with his wings and legs.
The dragon scales over his arms carried a great deal of weight from elbow that'd be too heavy for a man without proper muscle to pull. Yet he managed to do so somehow. Nothing is known of what a dragon's genetics is compared to that of a human, since dragons can't be killed very easily. Their colorful scales acted as armor to the dragons' bodies, therefore impossible to study their muscles, their bodies' systems, and how they function.
There's been a few who wanted to "study" Vaeludar's genetics since he was half dragon, but his skin practically also served as armor to him. Once time he even drank poison from a cup, and he knew it was poison while other people watch him drink it and did not die.
He was a such a fabulous specimen a handful of scientists wanted to study, but they never have gotten the chance. When Vaeludar learned the ability to fly at a young age, his wings kept his distance from the mad people overly obsessed with him. Over the years, they gave up on trying to catch him as he seemed too smart for one who young between the ages eight to ten.
Now that he has grown experienced to flight, it seemed to ease his mind of things. It took him months to learn who to fly himself, and since there was no dragon nearby, he had to do the learning-of-flight himself. He didn't understand the level of difficulty it took him to fly. The wings' joints conjoined with the joints that conjoined two shoulders and two arms.
The flexes of his fingers were the components like playing like puppets with strings to move the movement of the puppets' joints. There was a sensational feeling that tingles in his fingers as he moves them along with his wings that helps him fly of how high or low his wings are widened, and to master the flight took him six months. He was only eight years old, but he had the mind of a young adult.
Maturing to at an accelerated rate and twice the speed of a human's natural maturing and brain activity of thinking propelled him to be ahead of a human child's way of growing up. Even when he was four, he knew what to do and how to do it. Asking few questions to Geraldus growing up what it means to be human, but rather receiving help from his foster father, Vaeludar managed to learn for himself like learning the most complex foreign languages in just minutes.
This was likely due to the dragon genetics given to him from his father, a dragon. The son of a human witch and a fire-breathing dragon, and he inherited both his parents' genes. Human magic and fire with armored draconic scales run through his strange hybrid body, and he could muster all the strength without tiring.
He may need a break for a few minutes and his stamina takes even seconds to regenerate. For all, even by his foster family, he had been considered strange by his fast-instant way of learning. What takes years to learn and obtain knowledge Vaeludar can do in minutes to months, and he was already seventeen, and he had the mind of a thirty-year experienced human.
And selected few times he flew north pass the territory that stretches from the southern coasts to the far northern mountains bordering to the Northern Region, and the Northern Regions has he never been judged by the species living up there.
Humanlike species that weren't human but looked human enough to his eyes, but different sizes and shapes. Elves and dwarves were mostly the species up there. Pointy ears standing tall as a human were the elves, and dwarves were half the human size with heavy-built beards.
