It was a long walk out the woods without much interference. The group spent an entire day walking out of the Greenwood Forest. An exhausting walk into a forest with the point of no return only to find it was a banshee that killed all travelers who venture in there, and a laboratory used for evil purposes.
But it was over, and Marina had enough fighting for a day. She barley managed and she breathed hard when they exited for the forests. When they exited, they saw it was evening and Vaeludar took flight. This time, he wasn't going to wait, but Marina had the aching feeling she still wanted to go.
Luckily for them, the creatures waited for their riders. Sora leapt on her stead and hoisted Marina to the pegasus. The winged-horse followed Vaeludar and the others were groaning while Vaeludar was in place. But to their surprise, he was flying to the west, to the beaches of the west.
Sora's pegasus followed, and it was an hour when Vaeludar landed on sand. Sora's pegasus landed a fair distance, and Sora saw Vaeludar if he was in a trance. He was in deep thought, and it be best to not disrupt him.
"Well, the next stop is certain: Siren's Cove," said Sora, dismounting from her pegasus. Then she used a magic spell from snapping of her fingers, "Lav lejr. Bleg natten igennem."
Immediately, a campsite was set up. Tents, a campfire, and a toast ready for toasting.
Marinascoffed, and only walked toward the sand. She pumped herself by the beach and still kept her distance from Vaeludar. Her feet drenched in the sand, and there was nothing special about it. She spent her life as a runt, and it was the only soil she grown accustomed to. She had no good thoughts about wet soil running beneath her feet. She was close to Siren's Cove or the cave she grew up.
She never wanted to return, but in the end, she would be returning to her first home. She thought Geraldus's village would be her new home, but an insane old man brushed her away. Now, it seemed she knew nothing about a home.
Since encountering Vaeludar, she felt more at home than ever. It seemed a home isn't a cave to hide or a house to live, but about living with other people that make a home. And she has come to learn it is the people that make a home, not a house or a cave.
She learned so much about being with humanity, and everyone can be a good or evil person. It all depended on a person's willingness to be good or evil. People with great power like Geraldus want to use their abilities to do good, and Lusìvar wanting to do evil.
She let her feet sink into the muddy sand every time every wave swirled against her feet and back into the deepness of the ocean. Many times, she did this, and it felt nothing was new. Only her heart felt sinking into the deepness of the sand, like the feel of the waves brushing against her feet. Every wave of water beating again her skin more of herself is worn away from herself, like a snake shedding its skin.
She sniffed the air, breathed it in, and let it out in a silent scream. It has been a trying time for her to adopt living in a human village where a few people like her and many hating her. Like and hate were polar opposites, and she didn't know if she wanted to hate or like back to the people who like and hate her.
Above all, she didn't know how to feel for the hybrid. To learn of his past, how he received his power, the place which he was created, and how he came to be. Marina wasn't of the sort, but she knew of being a runt was, and Vaeludar was the offspring of two.
For the people she liked and started to hate, Geraldus seemed a reliable man and King Uragiru seemed to be the most despised man. Vaeludar is one she couldn't tell if to like and hate, and he was somewhere in the middle between the two men. One man to like, and one man to hate, and one hybrid not knowing how to feel.
