It has taken all night for Vaeludar and Sora to reach the Northern Region. They rushed from the camp as they bared to fly through the cold, dark night. Cold winds hounded the atmosphere. A crimson crescent moon riddled the air between two tangerine moons. The cold was of a winter's night, and it was all silent, expect for the flapping of Sora's pegasus.

Vaeludar set his wings aflame. Pegasi don't see good at night as they are day creatures. Their sight isn't good when flying in the darkness, so Vaeludar lit his wings with bright flames Sora's pegasus can see. His wings kept warmth to Sora's face has she was feeling the coldness shivering her cheeks.

His flight kept him safe from the coldness, but Sora wasn't immune to the cold as he was. Sora hated the cold, always thinking someone would die in the bitter dark. It feels the presence of death was ripping in her arms, and that she had always been afraid of the dark. What kid wouldn't be?

Vaeludar did right. He kept the coldness away, and all she needed was only him. There was Flavius, Andrei, Geraldus, and Rhiannon, and they are her family. Such need to extend the family was right in front of her, and she needed him to be in her life as much she thought he may need her in his life.

He was the one for her, and she can't let any girl have him, not even the siren. She deeply felt guilt for leaving Marina to almost to die in that sort of humiliation. A bad part of her for leaving Marina, and she felt she was the one responsible for Marina's dreadful experience. The human girl showing the siren runt the realm of humanity. Had Sora known about or predicted it would have happened, Sora would have led Marina back to the village than the king's encampment.

But at least the siren was safe and in the hands of elves. The best-known race to the humans as many legends tell of humans loving elves, and Sora would think Vaeludar wouldn't pick an elf as a romantic partner. They easily outlived humans, they taught humans magic, and the most closely people who stood tall as humans.

The flames of Vaeludar's wings burned brightly until the peak of dawn. The pegasus lacked Vaeludar's upgraded speed to hasten to the Northern Region. That is when the flames dispersed like the light of a candle blown.

They were just at a high altitude when a sight of red rays peaked against the dark blue sky. The stars faded within an hour of the red rays, and quickly hastened to a golden raze, before the length of the sun fully razed its color to the shadowy sky.

Vaeludar could now let the pegasus fly next to him instead of guiding the horse. He saw Sora barley keep awake, as it was hard for her to sleep in flight. But at the town where Marina must be undergoing a healing process is where sleep can be found.

An hour passed after the sun rose passed the eastern peak, and Vaeludar and Sora found themselves soaring downwind into the heart of town. Sora dismounted from her horse to stand beside Vaeludar, and they gazed upon a village with no residents. The residents either still asleep or they have traveled someplace else.

Until a dwarf sounded off exiting the tavern Vaeludar met the clan leaders. It was Orinù obviously since the village is thought to be a dwarven village. He saw Vaeludar and paid no attention

"Oi, what are you going here and back so early with another fine warrior?" the dwarf asked.

"There has been a dramatic change of plans. Uragiru has gone insane. He has declared war upon all those disloyal. He plans invade the Western Region, and he might as well slay everyone living there."

Orinù scuffled his beard. "So, he has become senile."

"He has become a monster. If Lusìvar wasn't enough, we now have a new enemy. I can't be fighting more on different battlefronts. I can't be finding and retrieving armor and trying to protect people all at once. And I only have eight days left before a battle begins. And where is the siren?"
