Great braziers hanging from each of the eight alabaster columns light up every part of the throne hall and coat everything in an orange glimmer. The stained glass windows in the embowed ceiling dance in the flickering light while statues and gargoyles look down upon the stone floor of this radiant hall.
A crimson rug splits the entire room in half and is matched by the thinner ones on either side of the hall while rectangular banners with adorned plumes decorate the walls. Between each banner sits a shrine-like ornament covered in candles, they've all been lit and in turn illuminate the statues of conquerors and victors below them.
Narrow, stained-glass windows of mesmerizing mosaics are contoured by draperies colored the same crimson as the banners. The curtains have been adorned with intricate embroidery and jewels.
An impressive throne of oak sits below a grand chandelier and is adjoined by five almost identical seats for those aiding the royal highness in all affairs.
The throne is covered in divine engravings and fixed on each of the rather slim feet is a crystal rose. The bulky pillows are a dark golden and these too have been adorned with emblazoned corners.
It was the place where human royalty ruled human-dominated places of Shimabellia. In early stories of the Capital City, it started as a farming village set upon a wide hill that spiraled over a hundred miles of small vegetation. From there, crippled soldiers from ancient wars settled after losing more than what they wanted such as an arm or a leg or both.
After humans began settling, dwarves gave craftsmanship guidance to those who lacked knowledge to houses, and the elves gave guidance of their guidance to grow plants.
Over the course of a hundred years, the village built on a hill grew into the Capital City to rule over humanity. Royalty came into creation when the wealthiest people came into rebellion, and the last man standing won.
From then, royalty ruled Shimabellia and kept their eye on their subjects with great responsibility. Although from time to time, there have been constant struggles, royalty struggling with line of successions when current kings or queens with without choosing a successor or someone claiming the right to inherit the throne when an heir has been chosen.
And always, wars have been fought for succession, and the victor took the throne. Whenever a corrupt heart takes the throne, led to chaos. If a pure heart takes the throne, a balance of life.
There always been constant struggles, but nonetheless, life still managed to flourish and evolve into something than humans were when they started as cavepeople.
But the future remained uncertain. King Uragiru could be the last king of Shimabellia. The Titan King was on the horizon, but he felt no pressure from another king; it was his prized possession that led him astray from reality: the death of his son.
His son's death from sirens turned his mind away from his royal responsibility, and away from Shimabellia. Still, he maintained some essence of responsibility. He still kept relations with the people of the Northern Region with humans of the southern Regions and a well balance of human evolution.
For the past year, there have been constant reports of attacks around Shimabellia. It was a great measure, and for some reason, he choose little action since local militias or mercenaries would easily kill those monsters.
He kept his army within the boundaries of the Capital City and the outskirts. It was as if he was starting to neglect his duties as a king, but he felt like waiting, not wanting to put his army's lives at risk for some minor problems his kingdom was facing.
But it was until the moment happened: the moment when his mind began spiraling beyond human measures. He thought he would be the one to chosen by the gods, but it was someone else, someone who he thought wouldn't have the privilege of being chosen, only a runt left behind by his parents: Vaeludar.
