We all went back to the huge sofas and settled ourselves down. Daddy was busy talking to Mr. Robert while Mummy was talking with Mrs. Erhhh Katherine! Yeah! Mrs Katherine.
We were to sit down and wait for them to finish their conversation.
I was getting bored sitting down there all alone that I couldn't help a little yawn. As my eyes drowsily look up at the boys, I saw Xander looking at me. He seems to be contemplating something. Hope it's a good one cause if it's not, I'll make sure he will be the first in the Martinez to taste a slap from me.

I shifted my gaze to look somewhere else but I was immediately wide awake as I looked at Hannah peeking behind the pillar behind the boys. She would love them. I stifled a giggle as I watched her.

"Mom, sorry for interrupting your conversation but I need to use the washroom real quick"I heard Xander?  whisper to his mom. My mom just smiled at him in a cool way. My mom was cool, people!
"Of course honey, you just don't know the place,"Mrs. Katherina said.
"Emmanuella will escort me" he looked at me.
"Of course, "I said as I got up. My siblings were looking at me with the 'hmmm" mysterious and suspicious  look. I don't even know why he told me to escort him. I adjusted my dress well before glaring at him from down.  I led him out of the hall.
"I don't know your intentions Mr. Man but -"I started but got interrupted.
"Shh" he lifted his index finger and I hated how I just shut up immediately.
"You seemed to be bored in there. So I thought" he stated, looking somewhere else.
"You thought what?"I asked as I folded my arms and walked closer to him. He seems a little intimidated. I could see he was trying so hard with his stern expression.
"Actually.."I started squinting my eyes at him suspiciously.
"That's a very good idea"  I smiled and clapped my hands happily. I just wanted to tease him since he was so worked up.  I moved away from him and seized from up and down.
"You still want to use the washroom?"I asked raising my brows and smiling at him. He didn't return my smile, just shook his head.
"Let's just hang here," I said as I directed him to the big study room. As we entered, I saw him scan the room.
"The room is nice abi?"I asked but then I realized he was from America so he won't understand the 'abi' I wanted to rephrase my sentence but before I could do that, I saw him nod.
"You understand me?"I asked surprised.
"Nope. I just figured it out" he shrugged, his blonde-brown waves moving with the slightest movement. Ohh, how I so much wanted to run my hand through it. It feels so fluffy. It will be such a relief! Anyways, about the room, it was designed anciently. Like the old times, the 1900s. That's my favorite place again. The books on the shelves were arranged so well. I like peace and the study room is my best place. We chose a table and sat on it.
We sat down and what followed was silence. Awkward. I just placed my elbows on the table and stared at him.
His light brown eyes met mine and I continued staring at him.
"What"  he asked raising his eyebrows.
"Tell me about yourself"I stated.
"Me?  "he pointed at himself.
"No, the shelf, " I said sarcastically. He chuckled and his gaze softened for a bit. Just A BIT! Gosh, his smile is nice. Can't wait for Hannah to see him. She would immediately forget all the rules I told her.
"I'm Xander Martinez" I'm in my final year in high school," he said.
"What else?"I asked as I looked at them curiously.
"I'm running my dad's company.." he added.
"Wow, so young" I was flabbergasted.
"What about your brothers?"
"They have their own companies"
"Nice. "
"Yeah"
...
Silence again,
"You will not ask me?"I asked him.
"Why?" he asked raising his eyebrows at me.
"Bro, you have no manners at all" I reached over to him across the table and hit him on his shoulder. HARD!

"Ouch"
I rolled my eyes at him.
"Hey chill"It was this time I noticed his American accent. So nice! I turned my head to the other side, irritated.
"I said chill"he said reaching for my cheeks. I slapped his hands away.
"I'm not those girls that will allow you to do anything to them. Go do it to someone else"I sneered and got up. He seemed surprised. Good for him. I don't like guys and relationship and I'm certainly not part of those girls that gush over guys easily. My nose unintentionally scruched up and that was when I noticed a sound coming from him. HE SAW MY NOSE SCRUNCH!
"Come on"he said stifling his laugh. HE WAS STIFLING HIS LAUGH!
"Your mother shouldn't come and beat me if she sees you severely beaten. "I threatened.
His laugh echoed in the study room. I just made a face and walked away. Daddy, please I'm sorry, I forgot my manners. You can't blame me. He was irritating me.
"Wait for me"his accent made me stop in my tracks. Argghh
"I hate you"I muttered .
"I'm sorry. Haha..I mean hahahaha"he was laughing uncontrollably. His laugh...so elegant but contagious. I joined in too but we soon got out of there before people came looking for us.
"You are funny"he said, his lips smiling.
"Just because of a simple question"I twisted my lips and walked to the hall.
