Chapter 10

As we entered, we saw that no one was there.
"Where have they gone?"I asked scratching my head. My black hair clip fell on the floor. Goodness! I forgot I had my hair made. I stomped my shoe on the floor in annoyance and proceeded to take my hair clip. Xander however took it before me.
"Thanks" I raised my hand to take it but he pushed it back.
"Like seriously"
I jumped to take it. He was so tall! They told me I was tall. Called me 'olongo'. Even elongated soul. Haha! But this boy was a giant. Like why??!!!
"Let me help you"he requested.
"I dont need your help"
"Then try to take it"he said raising his hands to its full length smiling at me, mocking me.
"Xander!" I cried trying to reach it. His cologne hitting my nostrils as I hit him again and again after failed attempts to get the hairpin. I was getting tired already.
"I said let me do it for you!"he said as I tried reaching for it for the one more time.
"Fine"my hands slumped down in defeat.
"That's a good girl!" He exclaimed smiling.
"Shut up" I said as he gently lifted a curl of my hair and fixed it with the clip.
"All done"he said smiling. Suddenly, we heard clearing of throat.
Xander turned while I looked behind him.
Gosh! Hannah!
"I'm sorry. Did I interrupt something"she asked but there was a huge hint of amusement and sarcasm in her tone. She seemed mesmerized by Xander when he turned but Xander seemed unconcerned.
"No, you did not"
"Daddy is calling both of you. He's at the dining hall with the Martinez"she said and walked away stealing another glance at Xander and I.
"Let go" I pointed at the door.
"Not even a thank you? Rude"he pouted. Ive not seen this side of him and he looked really cute.
"Aww soo cute. Fine boy"I teased.
"Lets go ja"I said gesturing for him to follow me to the door as I walked majestically in my gown to the door.
"You will not come with me?"I asked.
"You will not say thank you"he replied with a question.
"Not saying 'thank you' today or tomorrow so follow me if you don't want to get lost." I said
"You will pay"he said.
" Will be waiting "I chuckled and we walked to the dining hall like the queen I was. WAIT! I am still a queen.

As we entered the dining room, everyone stared at us before we were directed to our respective seats. The AGYAPONGS were sitting in one row while the MARTINEZ on the opposite.
I was sitting opposite Alexander. Xander was sitting by his father and Ethan was sitting by Alexander.
"Hi " he said as I sat down again. My face was already red from all that laughing and just when I saw him, a laugh escaped my mouth.
Luckily, Daddy was too engrossed with his conversation with Mrs Katherina and Mr Robert that he did not even notice.
"You look funny" I heard Alexander exclaim beside me. Great! I just had to do that anxious face that makes people laugh! Just great!
