Chapter 18

As I rushed downstairs, I spotted John rushing down the stairs adjacent to mine too. Samuella and Daniella had been lined up Infront of the door to the living room leaving spaces for us to fill. Hannah gave me thumbs-up as John and I filled our spaces waiting for John to open the door. I raised my eyebrows at her confused by her little sign.

*Knock*
"Come in"Daddy's voice thundered.
We all walked like the good kids we were to the center of the living room.

"Since we already know each other, let's sit and talk."
I somehow managed to make eye contact with Ethan and the moment I did that, a wink came from his side. I smirked at him.

"Hey Ella, Come sit by me"I was so excited to see Alex that I hurried to sit next to him.
"Seems like you guys have gotten along so well" Mrs. Martinez smiled. I waved at them as I settled down.
*Clears throat*
I looked over to see Xander who was sitting on the sofa with jealousy evident in his eyes.

"Aww, Xandi boo boo" I pouted as I got up to hug him. Alexander couldn't stop laughing at my sudden nickname. It made Ethan chuckle....then giggle....then laugh"
"You guys have started with your laughing sickness erh?"I placed my hands on my waist.
"Anyways how was school?"I asked Xander who was probably annoyed at his nickname.
"Fine"
"What about your work?"
"Fine"
"Why are you giving me straight answers?"
"I'm answering you"
"Xander "I held his chin to look at me.
"Are you mad at me for some reason?"I asked.
"Yes"
I removed my hands and place them behind my back.
"So..what is it?"
"You didn't notice me" he sounded childish.
"Common, I wouldn't have noticed Ethann either if he hadn't given me a wink.
I looked over at Ethan who was having a conversation with John.
"I'm sorry okay?"I held his hand.
"Come on man, don't let a girl apologize "Alex joked.
"It's fine. Just joking really" Xander laughed.
"You are weird "I stated as I went to sit by Alex.
"By the way, where's Andrea?"
"Oh, she went to our Aunt's place in Canada" Xander answered.
"Oh okay," I nodded.
"How was school" I repeated the question.
"It was fine"Xander shrugged.
"You see there was this girl..."Alexander kept talking. It was fun listening to him and all his gossip.

"They even concluded that Asha could be pregnant" Alex added.

"Geez Alex. You talk too much" Xander cried.

"What about Pody?"I asked invested in the story and ignoring Xander.

"I heard she's a backstabber," Alex said.
"Oh"
Just then, Hannah entered the hall. Immediately all eyes turned to her.
I smiled at her outfit. She had a pink top on with a blue jeans skirt.

It was pretty and wasn't short.

"Oh, excuse me, sorry to interrupt but Emmanuella is needed urgently."

What the hell happened to her accent?
I couldn't stop giggling. I heard my siblings giggle too. John's shoulders were shaking profusely as he tried so hard to control his laughter, Samuella had tears in her eyes as she tried to suppress her laughter with a smile and Daniella covered her mouth, little giggles escaping her lips.
"Damnnn" I heard Ethan's voice.

Yeah, he was probably checking her out. When daddy gave me the go-ahead, I rushed to Hannah, held her hand, and egressed the room.

"What was that?"I burst out laughing as we exited.

"What?"

"I see. You are trying to act clueless" I  pointed at her with a smirk.
Just then, I  spotted Claire.

"Ella!" she waved. I rolled my eyes at her exaggerated way of greeting.

"You know, changing your accent is a nice start" I turned to Hannah, tapped her shoulders, and left her making sure she saw my mocking smile.
