I wake up the next morning and she was gone. "Fuck sakessss." I groan and sit up then rub my face and look around. It was like she was never here.

I walk downstairs with my messy bedhead and John is sat at the table looking at me. "Wehey mate, looks like you had a fun night." He giggles in his cereal. "Shutup, you seen Poppie around?" I ask. "She left for a lecture." John says with a mouthful.

"Right- well uhm-" I begin so say as I was interrupted by a knock on the door. "WAIT WAIT WAIT!" Brittney slides out of the kitchen and runs to the door and looks out the spy hole. "Fucking hell." She opens the door. "She's not here William." She says. "Well I want to come in anyway." He shoves Brittney out of the way and walks in. A posh bloke, of a similar age, neat hair, smart suit. He chuckles. "Had a few gentleman over last night Britt?"

"No they are guests."

"Right anyway, I wanted to leave these for Poppie." He puts a few food boxes down. "What are they?" She asks. He glares at her. "Wedding cake samples."

I choke on my food. "Alright mate?" John pats my back and I cough and William watches me.

"Right anyway I still haven't gotten Poppie to go out and get a wedding dress, she's refusing to go." Brittney  explains to him. "Well I'll come over tonight to sort that little problem out." He smirks. "I'll see you later Britt, and it was nice to meet you boys." He smiles and leaves.

"Who the fuck was that?" Paul asks. "It's Poppies fiancé, they've been together since they were 16." She smiles dreamily. "She's getting married?" I ask. "No she just loves weddings so much we are having a fake one, of course she's getting married but she fucking postponed it all because she started university." Brittney rolls her eyes.

I knew something was up with her.

I sat in my room waiting for Poppie to come back and when she did I grabbed her before she walked into her room and pulled her into mine. "Get off me!" She wriggles and I sit her down and close the door. "Poppie what is- who- what?" I stutter. "Excuse me?" She puts her bag down and crosses her arms. I sigh and walk around. "There was this guy, William who came over." She gulps. "You didn't tell me you were getting married?" I look at her. "I didn't think I had to tell you, considering it's none of your business." She looks at me so sweetly.

"I- yes you're right, sorry... I just really enjoyed last night."

"We didn't have sex did we?" She asks. "What? No! You were drunk, I didn't want to do that to ye."

"I'm used to it anyway." She mumbles and looks down. "Poppie..." I crouch down in front of her and hold her hand. "Ye can talk to me Tiger, about anything." I rub her cheek softly. She twitches and looks at me all tearful. "I-" She suddenly starts sobbing. I look at her then sit on the bed and pull her close to me. "Hey shhhhh, it's okay." I stroke her hair and she sobs into my chest. "I- I'm scared." She hyperventilates. "Shhh I'm here alright? You're safe." I kiss her head and hold her.

"It- it's not just that." She sniffles. "Do ye wanna talk bout it?" I look at her sweetly.

She nods.
