Lawyer's letter

'Well, that was that'

You and Seventeen were gathered in the villa, scrolling through the news, looking at the news articles from the media conference.

Vernon was clinging onto you to prevent you from scrolling. They were worried the impact it would have on you.

'Let's go for lunch!' You suggested, wanting to divert their attention from the media reports.

'BBQ!'

'BIBIMBAP!'

'KIMCHI JIGGAE'

'SOONDUBUK!'

'GIMMARI!'

'Calm down. The restaurant sells all that'

You all agreed and headed out, only for you to be stopped by Youngmin who needed to pass you a folder.

'From the lawyers'. He whispered softly.

You opened the folder carefully.

"Park Y/n

  On behalf of our client, Mr Kim JinYoung, this letter serves as an invitation to court service on the 17/10/22. The issue raised is in regards of false accusations and wrongful termination of contract.

Any inactions from your side towards the non-appearance at court will be non-beneficial to you hence we suggest you comply. We have received your letter in regards to the accusations and rest assure that we will handle this in court as well."

'Y/n! Why are you still standing there?' Seungkwan called out, waving you towards their car where they were all waiting for you.

You kept the letter in the folder and tried to hide it.

'What's that?' Minghao came over and took the folder from your hand.

'Nothing. Some personal documents. Give it back'. You rolled your eyes at him and kept jumping to snatch it back while he held it high.

'Baobao.' Minghao called you in his warning tone.

'You can open it at the restaurant. Just not now ok?'

Minghao frowned but nodded, keeping the documents in his hand while he led you to the car.

You tried to keep your mind off the letter. How could Kim Jinyoung sue you? False accusations? Wrongful termination of contract? He should count himself lucky that you didn't allow Seventeen to reveal his name to the media.

~ Flashback to a few hours before the media conference ~

'Jeonghan, should we reveal that Kim Jinyoung was the one behind all of this?'

'Yeah. We should make sure the media exposes his story further'

'Appa. Jeonghan oppa. We are not going to reveal Kim Jinyoung's name'

'Why?'

'Everyone, come here. I have one rule for all of you.'

All the members quickly came and gathered around you.

'No matter what the media asks, do not disclose or expose Kim Jinyoung's name anywhere. I don't want to give him a reason that can be used against me. This can be given as invasion of privacy and discretion of personal information. Just don't ok?'

They all agreed while Jeonghan and Seungcheol kept insisting.

You side-eyed them, making them hold their argument and finally give in.

(At the restaurant)

After ordering, Minghao opened the folder and took out the documents.

'PARK Y/N! Did you just try to hide this lawyer's letter from us?!'

Everyone turned to Minghao. He never calls you by your full name.

'What lawyer's letter?' Seungcheol walked over and took the letter.

'Why the hell is Kim Jinyoung suing you back?'

You just sat there. You didn't know what to do.

'Aegi come here' Jeonghan stretched out his arms and enveloped you in a tight tight hug.

You didn't cry. You couldn't. No tears were even able to reach your eyeballs. Were you in denial? Or just emotionless?

'Does Kim Jinyoung have something against Y/n?'
Hoshi quietly asked.

That made everyone think. He couldn't have made Joshua nearly rape you without a motive. There should also be a reason why he got people to expose your personal life photos and why he wants to sue you now.

None of you know. Even Joshua didn't have the slightest idea. You treated all your artists fairly well unless they committed a huge mistake but your recollection of Kim Jinyoung's past was rather clean. He never made mistakes and even his monthly evaluations were always top notch. So why?
