My face flushed with embarrassment when he finished clapping, I thought nobody would come up to the rooftop, whenever Jake sang in the series the only person who came up was Daisy. And sometimes nobody came up-
"What are you doing up here?" I asked him, embarrassed
"I just got bored of Henry and Liam, sometimes their fucking annoying" Drew said as he walked over to me, with annoyance
'More like all the time for you' I thought sitting down on the rough concrete floor
Drew sat next to me and we both sat there in silence for a few minutes before he asked me: "My friend, Jake, is part of the music frea- club" He caught himself quickly
"Yeah, I've heard... I actually am part of it but i'm just a back-up singer" I said, trying not to let the disappointment slip into my voice
"Oh" he replied
It went back to silence, except it was awkward. I started thinking of ways to get Hailey and Jake together, then I thought about Ken, and then I thought about how Ken was a simp for Luke and how Zander would probably kill her.
The bell rang suddenly and me and Drew said our goodbyes
I started walking around to find Ken, until there was only one room left. The Music Room.
I looked through the door, creaking it open slightly to see Ken there. She looked nervous. I immediately understood, she didn't want to get attached to this school.
She played the piano and sang so beautifully that even I was a bit jealous. I walked away into the girls bathroom. I shut and locked the stall door behind me and grabbed out my phone, putting my headphones on and listening to music, letting it take me away.
