Chapter 1: Mean roommate

"I'm finally done."
After an hour or so, Raewon finished decorating her room with hanging plants on the walls, posters, pillows and few school supplies.

"I feel at home now."
The girl stood in the center of the room with her hands on her hips, pleased with her work.

"Keep this garbage away from my half.

Raewon was so busy with her thoughts that she didn't notice the presence of Jaemin behind her back.

"This-"
She pointed to her posters, plants and stuffed animals. "Isn't garbage, just things that make the room cozier."

"Only for you."

Jaemin rolled his eyes and sat on the bed taking the headphones off his neck.

"You haven't even introduced yourself."

"I don't need to talk to you."

"Yes, you don't have to, but you should introduce yourself."

"Na Jaemin. I wasn't expecting a girl with me in the room."

"And vice versa. I have no idea why it turned out that way. By the way, I'm Han Raewon."

"Cool but now leave me alone."

"I wasn't going to talk to you anyway."
Raewon reached for her headphones and threw them over her ears as she sat on the bed. She leaned her back against the wall and took her diary from the drawer. The girl settled down comfortably and started writing while listening to the music.

Jaemin put headphones over his ears and reached for a fantasy book from his bedside table.

In fact, Raewon's presence distracted him so much that he couldn't concentrate on the book and kept reading the same sentence over and over again. Every now and then he looked at her, curious what the girl was doing and saw her writing endlessly in her diary, nodding her head slightly to the music.
I wonder what she's listening to.

"So yes. My roommate is Hwang Hyunjin. Tall, slender guy with long black hair down to his shoulders. He's so handsome that I couldn't take my eyes off of him when he introduced himself."

"Then he started asking me what I was learning and so on and I said that I love photos and he jumped up excitedly also he showed me the photos he took with his camera. He even showed me a collection of photos that hangs over his desk. What a wonderful thing."

"Hm."

"And your roommate? What is he or she like?"

"Na Jaemin. Mean and annoying."
Raewon murmured entering a cafe with Yoohyeon.

"It can't be that bad."

"Yeah, sure. He didn't even want to introduce himself."

"Maybe he is shy?"

"I have no idea whether making negative remarks on a good morning welcome counts as shyness."

"You'll be fine, Rae. Give him some time."

"Whatever. I don't care. I have my half of peace and that's the most important thing."

"I see Yangyang standing in line."

The girls ran up to Yangyang and they all headed to the table together.

"Who are you in the room with?"

"A boy named Yang Jeongin. Very quiet and shy. He's cool and we quite understand each other."

"Great. So only my roommate came out of some prison."

"I told you, you have nothing to worry about my dear."

At the same time, Jaemin entered the cafe with headphones on. When he ordered his food at the counter, he walked towards the garden entrance and on the way his shoulder collided with a boy who almost dropped his tray of food.

He turned abruptly and cursed at Jaemin but he was no longer there.
